  1. I went to Paris in October(can I go back now?), and didn't have any problems at all. Of course, I am the queen of subtle....
  2. Thank you for posting the pics, love those kilts!
  3. This sounds like something I would do, and yes I would have retrieved my gps I don't think I would have been brave enough to post about it.
  4. Thank you all for the advice, I can hardly wait for it to arrive! Living without my gps has been driving me bonkers.
  5. I finally made a decision after pouring over posts here. I like the "bang for the buck" of the iFinder, so I crossed my fingers and placed an order. Any iFinder users out there with tips to smooth the way? I previously was using a very old Magellan with no updates at all. My father in law needed it back for hunting, and now I am hoping my husband doesn't open the package and see the price on my new toy.($299)
  6. I had several people state that my tb was missing from a cache. This was a large ammo can, stuffed with swag, and my tb was very small. It was picked up soon after, and moved again. Several of my bugs have been "misplaced" so far, but this one was just hiding
  7. Yay for you Nudecacher! I have always enjoyed your clever use of props for the photos Everytime you post a picture, someone might question their extreme reactions to nudity. So, besides being fun, you provide a possible change in someone's perspective. Keep on caching! P.S. I live in Washington state, and cache with my children(who would probably giggle if they saw a nudist).
  8. Thanks! This will be my first trip across an ocean.=)
  9. I leave October 7th for France, and I am willing to take a few people's tbs with me if they want some European travel. I will be taking several of my own, so contact me if you are interested. dandylaurel
  10. My three year old boy wants those little stretchy frogs, especially glow in the dark ones. My seven year old girl likes plastic rats, marbles, and bracelets. My eleven year old son likes jet planes and army men. Does that help? =)
  11. I don't post my kids pictures on the net. Of course, I am an overprotective mama, in a city with a higher percentage of sex offenders than normal. I don't feel it is wrong for people to post them, in fact kids are fabulous. The pictures that worry me are when parents post pics of their kids that are in the tub, or wearing provactive clothing. I doubt any of the parents here would let their kids wear that caching Do what lets you sleep at night.
  12. I live about an hour away, but I could make it up there to place a tb. If you cannot find anyone closer I am willing. It would take me about a week to place it after recieving. Good luck! Dandylaurel
  13. a compass hand warmers first aid kit flash light gloves swag to use in other caches Ok, those are my only ideas
  14. Such controversial tones here! I love Geocaching, there are caches ... uhm... well... everywhere. There are so many in my area that I really don't have to go far to find a micro. It will take me months to hit them all. I joined Terracaching out of curiosity and stayed for the member rating system. The caches are rated by members, and this creates an atmosphere for very difficult and creative caches. These two systems compliment each other in my opinion. Dandylaurel
  15. I am headed there in October, and plan on using the previous posters mentioned cache. Luckily for us there are several caches in the area!
  16. Thanks Brer Rabbit, that makes alot of sense. I like seeing the ammo cans when I find a cache. Wet logs are really no fun to sign.... well a little fun, but not as fun as a dry one.
  17. I like Smaug1's suggestion of putting them in the sealed baggy with the log book! It does make sense that large amounts of moisture aren't going to be helped though.
  18. You know those little packets in pill bottles that keep everything dry?Why doesn't anyone use them in their caches?desiccants
  19. I thought the bugs were supposed to travel and the caches stay where they are?
