  1. Well done Stuey. You gonna plan a get together for your 1000th as well
  2. Another E-mail sent in case previous one no good Don't know if this one is any help though
  3. Underground caching is perfectly possible. You could always have a "letterbox hybrid" style cache with instructions/directions on how to find the box from the entrance on the cache page (60 paces, right turn, crawl for 20 metres etc. etc.). I'm keeping an eye out for that one! er...check out your own Top Ten Caches Stuey, I think you've already been there!!! Nothing like a bit of self advertising [] Anyway, I once took part in an Orienteering Competition in monkton Farleigh Mine, it was the most surreal experience I've had and the first time I've used a 3D map!
  4. I assume 'experience' means 'number of finds' ie it was found by 4 cachers 1 with say 1000 finds, 1 with 800 finds 1 with 40 etc. If this is the case one of my caches Here was logged on Aug 16th by 4 cachers with a total experience of 1920 while being watched by one other with experience 410!
  5. Some of my local cachers like to indulge in night time mud wrestling!!! Guess who won this round!!!
  6. The Mio 168 with intergrated GPS is available new for £199 inc vat and regional Map Memory for £40 both of which I can not fault, so maybe if you're extra good between now and christmas then Santa might just push the boat out and get you that extra special pressie!!
  7. Why pay big money on a PDA that fits around cheap software? Just ditch the Fugawi and get the far superior and user friendly Map Memory. The lastest version (v5?) has just been released and there are some great PPC/Map Memory bundle packs available. Thats what I did and have not looked back since! Would n't touch Fugawi with the proverbial barge pole now!
  8. Had it this year, what a waste of a days leave, spent most of it on the crapper!! 2nd Nov 1972.
  9. Gowd!!! Imagine that on display in your dining room!!!
  10. In this country if they want a target they make sure they can see it ie, Orange makes a great target!!!! :
  11. Well I'll be damned. Thats my next two holidays booked!!!
  12. How about a cache at Auschwitz or maybe even a multi in Hiroshima-Nagasaki at the precise spot the bombs hit !?! Morbid fascination might get me there but would these be classed as bad taste?
  13. Well done mate, Bet you didn't think you'd make 700 when you were down that last hole The suit lives on!!!
  14. Am I the only person to find caches in graveyards (and in one instance on a grave!) slightly disrespectful ? I have done two lately and on logging a negative log I've been slated. Maybe there should be a symbol in the key to denote a graveyard cache so we have the option to miss it?
  15. If a TBs goal is to travel x miles is it acceptable to take it on a long trip, log it in a cache there and then pick it up and bring it straight back to the same or another local cache hence doubling the distance of the one way trip?
  16. If I return to a cache that I've already found to retrieve a TB, how should I log the visit? If I log it as a 'found it ' does this increase my cache found count? or should I just list it as a 'note'?
