  1. Greetings fellow cachers. I started caching in 2004 and got into collecting geocoins shortly thereafter. I don't cache as much as I used to, and am done with collecting/trading, so I'm selling my geocoin collection of approximately 70 coins. The majority of coins are from 2005 (what I'm calling "vintage", lol), or around that year. I have no coins dating beyond 2006. I have 25 unactivated coins with codes, 7 unactivated without codes, 18 activated coins (all purchased/owned by me and currently in my inventory) that are transferable, and 27 non-GC.com coins that are either non-trackable or were once trackable from another site. All coins are stored either in a hard plastic coin display case (with a neoprene ring cushion), a soft plastic coin pouch or poly ziplock bag. All are in excellent/new condition and have been stored in a dry, non-smoking environment. Here is a breakdown of my inventory... Unactivated with code supplied: 3 sets - 2005, Connecticut/One Thousand Caches, set of three coins (polished gold, polished silver, and bronze), (in individual soft plastic pouches) 1 - 2005, Connecticut/One Thousand Caches, polished silver, (soft plastic pouch) 1 - 2005, Connecticut/One Thousand Caches, Limited Edition, polished gold/with full color overprint (extremely rare, numbered 6 out of 100), (soft plastic pouch) 1 - 2006, Finland, (soft plastic pouch) 1 - 2005, Delaware/DelaWhere? I do know that some are extremely rare and sought after - especially limited editions, matching sets that come in gold/silver/bronze, or that come with Certificates of Authenticity. I'll be listing these individually and as sets on eBay in the coming days. In order to sell these as quickly as possible I'll be keeping my prices well below all other similar items. If anyone here would like to purchase some or all of these beforehand, I am open to all fair and reasonable offers. Photos can be emailed upon request. Feel free to message me with any questions. Thanks and happy caching, Mark from Team Hatfield
  2. Yeah, I also 4 vintage geocoins that Trebbi "discovered". The must be using some sort of software or hacked into GC.com to get all of those numbers. I deleted all the finds as well.
  3. Hi Dave, Just ordered 2 through PayPal. I know you REALLY wanted my last Canada coin, but you lost your chance for that one at MoHo's wedding!!! Thanks, Slim from Team Hatfield
  4. We ordered 5 on Sept. 9th. and wanted to check on the staus. Have any of the coins shipped yet, or are they still in production? Just wondering. Team Hatfield

  8. We have just placed an order for 5 coins through PayPal. They look great and we are very excited to check them out. Thanks, Team Hatfield
  9. We would buy at least two. You probably already have all the coins that we have to trade. Team Hatfield
  10. We're in for at least 2. GC tracking preferred if possible. Thanks, Team Hatfield
  11. Hello Ladycacher! If you still have any coins available we would like to buy 2 please. Thanks, Team Hatfield
  12. Hello avroair! If you have any left we would like 2 please. Thanks, Team Hatfield
  13. I bought my Garmin 76 C/S in mid Decenber of 2004, and I took advantage of a limited-time $50 rebate that was offered then. I didn't bother to try and figure out why there was a rebate. It sounded like a good deal, and it was. I ended up paying $400 for a unit that, at the time, had a MSRP of $500. However, since then I've seen $90 Magellans perform as well (and sometimes BETTER) as my 76C/S. Go figure. Slim from Team Hatfield
  14. When I first found out that Garmin had no Mac support I gave up on thinking that I would be able to download any caching info, maps, etc. to my GPS or palm from my Mac. Currently I print out cache pages and enter in the coords by hand for both of our Garmin and Magellan systems. I don't mind doing this manually that much. It's the fact that I'm burning through tons of paper and printer ink that bothers me - not to mention hauling around all those pages while out on a cache spree. If there were easy to use Mac software that will simplify our caching experience then we would buy it. Having no experience using any PC to GPS or Palm to GPS software I can't say what features I would like to see implemented in the software. Just make it easy to use with a really cool interface. Also, have it do everything the PC versions do, except make it better and faster. Thanks, and let me know when it's available for beta testing. Slim from Team Hatfield G4 running Panther
  15. Thanks for all the feedback! I'm not really into going for the FTF. Getting up at 4:00am or heading out with a flashlight at 11:00 at night just to be the FTF isn't my cup of tea. "It's 11:00pm. Do you know where your Geocacher is?" To each his own I guess. I was just curious as to how some cachers can consistently find pre-approved caches apparently without any info supplied (beta testing) from the cache owner. I guess I was looking for more of a technical explanation (if there is one) as 1NatureMom was attempting to provide. Thanks Leslie!
  16. I've noticed that there are several cachers out there who live for the "First To Find." I've also noticed that some of these FTFs were done "pre-approval." How do other cachers know if there is a cache pending approval? I've heard that placing TBs in a cache before approval is one way, but wanted to know 1) if this is true, and 2) if there are any other ways that will give away a cache placement pre-approval. Thanks, Slim from Team Hatfield
