how do we stop this?
The Bongtwashes replied to little-miss-naughty's topic in United Kingdom and Ireland
And now so have I. Grrr And now sooo have i Darn it! I just broke a 51 year winning streak.. I disagree, The Game is far from elite, it is being played by every sentient being in the universe. And I've just lost for the first time in over 56 years. -

There is a local event close to you tomorrow night BBHBOTR #43 near Croxley Green. If you drop in I'm sure you'd find people willing to discuss it with you.

The one which hasn't actually been placed before it's been published.

Check the guidelines. Permission is required for all caches. It can take ages to get the necessary permission, but if you've found the ideal place to hide a cache then you'll want to reserve the location. Some multi- and puzzle caches take people ages to set up, if a particular location is suddenly not available it may require reworking of the whole cache, indeed it may mean the whole thing is not viable.

The Bongtwashes replied to The Bongtwashes's topic in United Kingdom and Ireland
I waste enough time on the proper Facebook Correction: you USED to waste a lot of time on Facebook, did you not read the small print, you must put us first cache reviewing is now your full time job. Have fun Yeah... we should post a few thousand for approval tomorrow to test our new reviewer's commitment Must already have been committed to have got the job -
Unless I've missed an announcement somewhere, we appear to have another new Reviewer. Welcome to Red Duster Thanks in advance for all your hard work.

Yup! ... me too. Did it the other day then all was well again, now again I don't know what caches I have done on my route to work tomorrow, so gave up! Same here. Several new caches been published near home, I can't tell which they are at a glance

Yesterdays PQs... Something strange
The Bongtwashes replied to Pharisee's topic in United Kingdom and Ireland
It's all to do with the millennium bug. Yesterday was the 3735th day of this millennium. (Which started on 01/01/01). It is therefore palindromic. Just got to figure out what is significant with the number 111010010111 . -
You fool But seriously: Welcome / Thanks
-
You can generate PQs just including caches in Eastern England as per this map, or else you can centre your PQ at a suitable point in Norfolk and a radius covering the county, and include parts of Suffolk, Lincs. and Cambs.

Etiquette For Soliciting Favorite Votes
The Bongtwashes replied to Ecylram's topic in General geocaching topics
I was just about to add a note to all my cache pages saying "Vote this cache as a favourite or I'll delete your log" -
Who found the most caches in 2010?
The Bongtwashes replied to qrang's topic in United Kingdom and Ireland
Perhaps Deci should publish similar tables showing who has reviewed the most caches in the year. Or are the numbers too big? -
Where's my watchlist gone?
The Bongtwashes replied to The Bongtwashes's topic in United Kingdom and Ireland
Thanks, that worked . There's progress for you, now you need 2 mouse clicks . -
It may just be me going blind. I'm sure there was a link to 'My Watchlist' from my profile page, but I can't find it anywhere. Has anyone seen it sneaking off onto their pages? The only way I can find is to go to a cache page and put it onto my watchlist, then remove it when I've finished.
-
No, but I did a virtual cache somewhere in the States, so that might be the cause. You mean you both did "What in the World Cache" without actually going? Tut tut, armchair caching! (P.S. That gives you the Maine souvenir)

geocaching new years resalution
The Bongtwashes replied to prot1's topic in United Kingdom and Ireland
I'd like to fill the 'Dates Cached' matrix, but somehow I don't think I'll manage it next year. Possibly in 2012 though. -

Quiet day then Oh yes, back to the thread, it's a way of life. -
MERRY CHRISTMAS ALL No caching today, still waiting to get out to place some without leaving tracks in the snow.
