Read again. It says occasionally mark as missing trackables that are listed but not in the cache. That word leaves it wide open. They are not going to flog the CO over that. But I would bet they would admonish the cacher who posts the NM log over a missing TB. Not an appropriate use of NM log.

I think that there may be a poorly worded guideline here. I think that by hub, they mean a route of transportation. A road! That may be meaning that an event should not require a mile hike in the woods to get to. It should be easy to get to. A park, a restaurant , a public place to gather. Train station! Of course not, airport, now way bus station nope.

Stories are great to go with a cache. I have a series where it looks like Sasquatch is being hunted. But at the final you find that Sasquatch was the hunter.

I have a few up trees. All placed with a pole and none tied in. I usually place the tool needed attribute on the page. At one a finder came with tree climbing gear, like a logger would use. He put the strap around the tree and spikes on his boots. Up he went and got it. But I must mention the tree was devoid of branches from ground to cache location. But some people do not notice the attributes and try to climb to get some of my high ones. I am a deer hunter and have some safety gear to use while climbing once having gone 40 feet up one. So maybe get some safety gear to use while up there.

Look carefully you may not need to climb for some. A pole TOTT may be all that is needed. I have a 24 footer painters pole works great for that type. There are other types of pole out there. look / shop carefully and you may find one like Fish2007 has. good price electricians pole 20 foot will fit in a car.

While scrolling through I may have clicked accidently on report post. Opps!!! This happened to me also I was on a public trail and home owner sicked her dog on me. I stood my ground and made ready to kill the dog if need be. I also had told the home owner that I was ready and willing to kill the dog. I later reported her. She did get a visit and read the riot act by the authorities. I did not get into trouble since I had the legal right to kill the dog if need be. I was called by the authorities and told that they paid the home owner a visit. She did not get arrested but did get into a lot of trouble.

For the send to GPS plugin. It Seems that Internet Explorer is now the only browser left that will support any of the GPS plugins. I have Delorme and had it (the plugin ) loaded into both Firefox and IE. I tried Firefox last night and found that the plugin was removed by an update to Firefox. So now it seems that IE is the only one left that the Send to GPS button will work with now. As far as GSAK I do not use it.

When you walk down a trail and encounter a large mud hole. You must find a way around it. Or wait till it dries up. I see that the computer gurus have found a way to dry up that mud hole.

The original post spoke of the perimeter of the property. In the woods. It is not clear as to ownership of that location In my area a lot of the cemetaries are managed on an irregular bases. So when I do one I make sure they are empty. That is always best.

We all must remember, the reviewers also have lives and jobs. Be patient it will be reviewed. For me personally it has been five minutes to seven days.

One other posibility that I forgot and happened to me. The TB may have been logged into another geocache by mistake. I found a TB not logged into a cache. I then discovered it was logged elsewhere. I grabbed it. Then placed it into the cache for the mileage. Then grabbed it from that cache that I found it. All well then and on it moved.

Make sure that you entered the code for the TB correctly. Did you type O or 0. Did you type 1 or l. Is the TB even trackable on Geocaching.com, it may not be. Maybe you need to go to another website to log it.

Also about the send to GPS. It only works in Internet Explorer and Firefox. Not in Chrome or the new Microsoft Edge browser.

Here is an excellent example of a bad one. A wooden mailbox post. Permission given to hide on this post. The cache owner drilled a hole to hold a film canister. Attached a hinged lid of wood to cover the hide. I found it and the husband of the woman who gave permission came up to me to talk. I asked if he was to CO, No he said. He then told me his wife gave the permission. I told him that hide was a violation of guidelines. I let the reviewer know that he had better go see this set up. The hide was immediately archived. Defacing in any manner private or public property is not allowed. You may not place a screw into a dead tree either. Not even a wooden fence post. Doing so is the same as spiking a tree. Which is what the anti logging people do. A chain saw or other power saw hitting this will explode.

Try retyping them in. Example N45 15.789 W093 22.658. You may have simply placed the dot in the wrong place.

Close that picture. then in note pad I paste this code. <center><img src="code goes here "></center> In the section that says code goes here. I paste that web address. Copy that whole thing then click on edit on the web page. In the box that will accept 500 characters I paste the new line of code. No worries about a web site with problems then. I have even used GIFF with this. works great.

Now this was for a picture but HTML is HTML you just have to place things in the right order.

I have sent you an e-mail with instructions. but for everybody here it is also. So here is an example from a new one that I made. I used note pad to store and save it. I find it is the best due to some word proccessors may give you goblty gok, when you copy and paste. Step six: <center><img src="code goes here "></center> hiighlite the words code goes here, leave the quotation marks. Paste the address that you copied in this spot. Step seven: Highlite and copy tha whole line of code that you just made. Step eight: click the link on your cache page under Admin tools Edit. scroll down to the box Long Description:. Paste your code here. Now click those two boxes to accept the guidelines and terms.Then submit changes. View your page, you should see your picture.
