  1. No disrespect Clyde. Must be a timing thing. I am in such a hurry to figure this out. I had emailed you but didn't realize that you were in Australia. Sorry. You have definety gone above and beyond the call of duty helping me. I have never had this kind of help before. Sorry.
  2. How can I clear all filters if I have accidently set one. Like I said, I don't know how to set filters yet but I might have by accident.
  3. I did what you said and they all transferred. I exported a gpx file to the guy that runs cachemate and he said he got everything. I emailed all this to Clyde at GSAK and haven't heard anything back yet. It has to be something with GSAK I am doing wrong but I don't know what. Any ideas of what to do?
  4. I don't even know how to make a filter yet. I don't think I have done this.
  5. I received a pocket query with 300 waypoints in my email. I dragged and dropped this file into GSAK. Everything looks great here. If you look at my screen in GSAK, all 300 are listed there. I don't know if it is one big file with 300 waypoints in it or 300 different files. With all 300 listed, I went to export and and clicked Cashemate. I got a screen entitled Export Cachemate PDB File. It already had a name in the box for file to create. It also already had a name in the box that says Select From Most Recent. I left everything the same except the box for Limit number of logs to export. I changed it to 10 since I am still using the free version of cachemate. I then clicked generate at the bottom and got a box that said this file already exists. Do I want to replace? I click yes. It generates the file and gives me a box that says CmConvert: 1 waypoint coverted finish okay. I clicked oakay. I then hotsynched and when I open cachemate on my palm, I get a box that says at the top, Select Import Category. Below that it says File/Database. Below that the word Home. Below that Database/Default. Below that Category/ Unfiled. I renamed that Not found. Below that All new records from the named file will be created under the selected category. I click okay. Then it reads Import data was successfully merged with the main cachemate database. I click okay. The only waypoint that is listed is the last one in my list of 300 on GSAK. What am I doing wrong?

  7. I did all this and it said 1 file so I called it not found and still only had one file. The last one on my list. I need help. Any other ideas?
  8. Never mind. I just figured it out. I moved the folder to the desktop and then dragged it into GSAK.
  9. I just ran my first pocket query and had it emailed to me. I am working on XP and know to drag it into GSAK instead of trying to open. How do you do this? I clicked and held on the attachment and tried to drag it and nothing happened. I clicked on the attachment and it came up with a box that said do you want to open this file. I said yes and it took me to a page with with a folder on it. I tried clicking and holding and dragging this into GSAK and where my mouse is shows a circle with a line through it and will not drop anything into GSAK. How do I drag this into GSAK? Thanks.
  10. I just did it and found out I have 3.7. Thanks for the help.
  11. Another stupid question, you talk about a pq definition page, where is this? Is this in GC.com or GSAK? I really am stupid about this stuff
  12. I am a premium member here but when I send waypoints to GSAK, I am only getting basic info. No hints or logs. What am I doing wrong?
  13. I have downloaded and installed both. I have selected 300 waypoints and set them up in GSAK and my gps. I then tried to export these from GSAK to my palm using Cachemate. After synching, it said that 1 file transfered. It is the last one in my list of 300. Why didn't all 300 transfer? How do I do this? Also, why didn't hints and logs and descriptions transfer? Help, I desperately want to go paperless and this is all starting to discourage me.
  14. I recieved a Legend for Christmas and on the box it said that it would hold 500 waypoints. I had read on here somewhere that you could download an update from Garmin to increase this number to 1000. I downloaded everything and tried to send it to my gps and it said that my gps had a newer version than the download. I believe that the download was version3.6. Does this mean that my gps will hold 1000 waypoints and the box was old/wrong? How can I tell without trying to download 1000 waypoints? Thanks.
  15. Got a legend myself. Plan on taking it to the beach tomorrow to find a few caches while I visit with the family.
  16. I have downloaded both and am trying to figure out. I went through and checked about 15 pages worth of caches on geocache.com and then tried to download them. It just downloaded the last page. It said that I had downloaded 20 caches. So I backed up a page and tried again. Samething, downloaded 20 caches. Do I have to do it page by page or can I download 15 pages at a time? If so, what did I do wrong? Tried cachemate, tried to send all 15 pages to my pda and all that downloaded was the last cache on my gsak. I definetly don't want to have to download these one at a time. Any help downloaded several hundred at a time. It seems to just download whatever is highlighted.
  17. My legend is sitting 5' from me right now. It has not been wrapped yet and it is killing me knowing I can't use it until Saturday. I still have the gps I borrowed from a friend and used it today to find 2 caches while Christmas shopping. It's just not the same using a borrowed one. I can't wait. I just wish it wasn't in a plastic box that you have to cut into to get it out or at least it would have some coordinates punched in already.
  18. I have a question. I found a cache with a travel bug and took the travel bug to take with me when I visit my parents after Christmas. On my list of finds, it doesn't count as a found cache. It just says that I have found a travel bug. I have found 6 caches but only shows 5 caches and a travel bug. What did I do wrong and is there a way I can fix it? Will it show up as a find when I drop it off? No big deal, I was just wondering. Thanks.
  19. I just downloaded GSAK and am a little confused. First, what is the box next to the Travel Bug icon that looks like a little man? Is there a good place to go to learn how to use this program to it's fullest?
  20. Sony f828. Expensive but awesome. 8 megapixels. I have 2 little boys and take a lot of pictures of them. I bought an HP picture printer and print my own 8x10s and they look professional. Best money I ever spent. It is a bigger camera than most but I just carry it in my small back pack and don't even notice that it is there.
  21. I just bought a Legend and became a premium member. I want to begin downloading waypoints. What do I need to do? Do I need to download a program to my computer? Where do get this program? If I decide to get more map software for my Legend, what do you recommend? Does topo map software also have roads on it? If it does, why would I need street map software? Any more things I am not mentioning, please add. Thanks.
  22. I am working on a sig card and was going to put my home coordinates on it but don't know how to put the degree symbol on it. Help.
