I had a 60CSX and used it for 3 years with no complaints. I've bounced it out the window at 60km/hr and off of rocks to still have it work. So in my humble opinion there is no other GPS to choose. You won't be disappointed with it. Cheers Blkhawks

I have a Garmin Extrex and 60CSX

I've been using mine for 2 months geocaching and love it. Time will tell if it will be as reliable as my Etrex is. But software, antenna and processor are far better. Cheers Blkhawks

I can't speak for the Lowrance or Megellan but I own 2 garmins (Etrex and 60Csx) and I can tell you that they are excellent units. My Etrex was the first European model that came out (8-9 years old) and is still working good (buttons are getting worn out), this is good for a unit that has been bounced around on my work truck and quad, been hunting, fishing, searching and now geocaching. I expect my new 60Csx will prove to be just as reliable. Hope this helps Blkhawks

I have had the usual scrapes and twisted ankle but the worst was a last weekend we were on a FTF night cache and we met up with another caching family with three young kids. I am at the back of the pact making sure all the kids are ok when I looked up at the wrong time and got a tree branch in the right eye. Well what do you do? I don't want to scare the kids so I slowly open my eye and make sure there isn't any blood and how is my vision. After assessing that it didn't get my cornea I didn't mention this to anyone till we were on our way back. Next day went into the doctors and received antibiotics as it had caused an infection and I got to play pirate with a patch over my eye for a couple of days. Mrs Blkhawks
