  1. There is an event near to us where the organiser can not now attend. Is it a requirement that the organiser must be present for the event to go ahead?
  2. Excellent, thank you so much for that. Even gave me a link with it all filled in. Many thanks.
  3. I am interested in finding a cache that has a partnership attribute. I know there are only a few in the world. Therefore I am trying to find caches with that attribute worldwide. Unfortunately the radius keeps reverting to 500 miles. is there a way to create a PQ that will pick up ALL partnership caches in the world?
  4. Thank you to all who replied to my plea. Some good ideas that will be of great help. Thanks again.
  5. On the 5th December 2004 we found our first cache. It was GCJN8X Apedale II - The hole in the hill. We are attending an event on The 5th December 2014 and so I was thinking of having a t shirt with a slogan on the front to celebrate. Can anyone suggest some thing catchy to be printed on it. Best Regards browni
  6. I am looking to get a few caches in a Jasmer challenge found and I thought about finding a cache in England, France, Belgium, Luxembourg Germany and Holland. I would like to find GC40 whilst there so I was wondering if anyone has managed to do this and if so have they and advice. browni
  7. I WAS looking at a PDA as I like to have Memory Map on as the maps are well detailed for the UK. I like to have separate units as well. I have an IPhone but only use it for the Geocaching app. I have a Mio550 at the moment but is useless in the rain. Will have a look at the Garmin units you suggest as I have a Garmin 60 CSX at the moment. Thanks for the reply Ian.
  8. I have a MIO 550 PDA which has succumbed to the weather. Can anyone suggest a replacement PDA that has inbuilt GPS and it weatherproof. A tall order but suggestions please. Ian
  9. I have two maps on our profile page showing caches found courtesy of Geocache UK. I would like to change the map of the counties we have found caches in from the multi coloured one generated by finds numbers to a static one just showing the same colour for each county. As the geocache UK forum is down can anyone help me out for the required code please. Regards Ian
  10. I too am having trouble with Wherigo caches. The Knutsford one is showing the correct colour as I have found it but it is showing a letterbox icon and not a Wherigo. Any ideas?
  11. I am having trouble getting the settings sorted on Mio P550. my problems seems to be that I may have the GPS set to SIRF and not NMEA. Reading through topics it seems that I need it set to NMEA. Unfortunately I am unable to do this. Is there a way to do this or is there a utility available to swap this about. Ian
  12. Can someone please let me know how to use the files for the counties in GSAK once you have down loaded them pleae.
  13. I have been led to believe that I can create a filter for caches in GSAK and export them to Autoroute. Then I can create an itinerary for the most efficient route for the caches in Autroute. Then finally use ITNconv to create a TomTom itinerary so I can move from cache to cache. The itinerary planner in TomTom will not work out the most efficient route hence this is why you need to create it in Autoroute first. Could someone please let me have the details of how this is achieved if it is indeed true. Ian
  14. Thanks you so much for the congratulations, much appreciated.
  15. The total is 2074, It was the way I was interpreting them that was the problem. The macro for GSAK showed me what was going wrong.
  16. Please forgive me for starting this topic as I do appear to have the correct number of caches thanks to the wonderful FindStatGen3.gsk statistics generator that I have run. It has shown some wonderful stats and this has shown that my numbers are indeed correct. So this topic has been able to answer my problem. Thanks to all who has responded. Ian
  17. In response to Dino_irl I believe there should be 28 more on my find total. This is because the personal find PQ only shows the last YOSM so there should be 26 more for that. Then there are 2 others that have been muggled and moved slightly and so the owners have invited previous finders to relog a new find. As for the business about logging multi finds on YOSM then this has been discussed elsewhere and we need not go down that road again.
  18. Yes, my GSAK totals are correct. It is just a shame the 27 finds I have on YOSM do not count on my total cache finds on GC.COM. Not that I am trying to increase finds total, just an observation i made from reading another topic. Will have a look at the topic Clyde has listed as well.
  19. GSAK is showing the multi finds on YOSM caches as I download the caches for YOSM from the link on the web page and put them in the default database on GSAK. What I am getting at is geocache.com does not appear to give your total of cache finds when you have multi finds on one cache. Will have a look at FindStatGen3.gsk and see how it works so thanks for the info on that one.
  20. I see there is a topic on newbies logging the same cache twice. My question is if you do log a cache a few times such as Ye Olde Survey Monuments does this increase your finds total. I have my finds in GSAK but when I did a PQ for personal finds the totals do not correspond. The personal PQ only lists the survey one once although I have found a total of 27, this also applies to a couple of caches that have moved slightly and the owners have invited previous finders to log it again. Any ideas how the find total goes on multi finds? Ian
  21. Thanks for the the congratulations. Just in the library in Tavistock checking out caches and messages. Think we nees an ark with all the rain down here. Ian
  22. Congrats to all of you, sorry about being slow but could not get a connection. See you soon
  23. Congratulations on your mile stone. Look forward to seeing more.
  24. I lost another PDA stlus today so was wondering if anyone has a tip or trick how to hang on to them. Ian
