I've done both and that seems to have not been the problem. I am amazed that right now, my Garmin Gecko 201 is more accurate!

I have had my GPSMap 76Csx for almost a year. When I first used it, the accuracy when caching was phenomenal. In the last couple of months I have noticed the unit compass needle seems to go around in circles and I have trouble locking into the cache location. This has been happening everywhere I go and nearly every time. I have restored the defaults, made sure I do not have too many maps active or stored, reduced the amount of waypoints to under 100. In other words I don't think I am stressing the memory. Can anyone give me a clue as to what may be up with this unit?

I am trying to go paperless and have read MANY threads on the subject. I downloaded both Plucker and Spinner and have easily downloaded pocket queries to my Palm M500. My Palm is also my GPS, I use a Magellan attachment and the Nav software on the Palm. How do I now get the coordinates from the Plucker software into the Nav software or do I have to write them down in Plucker and enter them manually into Nav software on the Palm????

Ok, I downloaded Plucker and Spinner and got the pocket queries into my Palm PDA. NOW......How can I get the coordinates copied into the Magellan Nav software on the same Palm without writing the darn things on a piece of paper and entering them into the Nav software? Am I missing something

I am fairly new at this but I have managed to find 38 caches to date. I am having a very difficult time with puzzle caches and caches that require translations. What am I missing here. How can a very long string of letters be turned into a short coordinate. I have stared at these letters till I am cross-eyed and nothing comes to me. I consider myself fairly intelligent, what am I missing???????

Is there some way to search to determine who in a particular state or country has the highest find counts?

I have a Palm M505 with a magellan companion. I find when I enter waypoints, often the last digit changes after entering. For instance 71.35.456 will go in as 71.35.457. Nothing I do changes it. It automatically changes back. It only happens to the last digit. Does this happen with other GPSr or am I doing something wrong. How far off in feet will this one digit cost me? Any help would be appreciated.

For some reason I cannot log into the main page so that I can log cache finds. I have another computer on a cable internet (windows ME) that I can log in with but my laptop which runs on a dial-up (windows XP) will not allow it. I am using the same name and password on the other computer. I was able to log into the discussion forum however. Can anyone give me a clue???

I am new to this. I have e-mail notification set up and I receive a notice once a week of new caches in my area. Unfortunately I notice that by the time I am notified, there have already been 5-6 people that have been there. I will never be "first to find". How can I be notified earlier of new caches?
