  1. bummer big time! i have always wanted to go on a cache machine.
  2. I know this topic has been done to death several times over in other threads, but I can’t let a comment like this go unchallenged. I release geocoins so that fellow cachers can see the COIN. Sharing the icon (an anagram of coin, not photocopy, BTW) is secondary. As I’ve stated before, if I found that a “geocoin” in a cache that was just a photocopy I wouldn’t log it. The pleasure in finding a geocoin is seeing the real thing. This appalling idea of releasing photocopies so that finders can “get the icon” hasn’t been used much in Australia to my knowledge and I hope it stays that way. What is there to challenge I feel if you have a coin get stolen and you place a cache with a representation of the coin in it to share the coin and icon all is good. You still have to go find the cache so it is not like the number was mass emailed out to people. This is all a big game nobody wins and the points don't matter. What’s there to be appalled at? Saying that, I am not a fan of photocopies of a coins traveling around but it is not going to ruin my caching day I log it and keep going.
  3. i have seen acouple coins that move via a pic of them, no harm i logged them.
  4. this seems silly when all people want to do is share their icon.
  5. i think it's clarks, the cheese sticks are wonderfull!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
  6. well if it went to raymond there is a resturant on 101 heading back north towards montasano. i will try to find the name of it.
  7. what about down to the west port area? there is the surf and spray motel. i have stayed there a few times and it has always been clean. there are caches all the way down. do a button hook and end up in aberdeen or wherever

  9. that might put a stop to people heading into parks after they close to get the FTF. i have missed on a couple because i waited till the next morning for the park to be open, only to wake up in the morning around 6 AM to see the cache has been logged while a park was clearly closed. good idea!
  10. ken onion 1660bs a small led light and my ruger .45, you never know when a ammo box will be hard to open.
  11. I love going after FTFs! In fact, I only go after FTFs, and leave spoiled logsheets for other people. The most fun I have is in Seattle, where those TUS cache. The Tiresome Usual Suspects (TUS) are that group of cachers around here who always seems to get there first. When I get a chance to go after a cache (preferably at night and near the water), if I can leave my mark before one of them gets there I feel really, really happy. Maybe one day they will let me join! Why would you want to be second, third, fourth, or last? Otherwise it's just a smiley and anyone can get those. and that what i enjoy about the FTF race you are a brute, force of a monster which makes it even more fun to try to solve a puzzle before one of your heads pop up and gulp up thre cache.
  12. about 2 miles from my house is my closest cache and a half mile from my work.
  13. c'mon now you know. after all you beat me to vem2. i think the FTF race is really fun even if i don't have a chance when it's a puzzle cache.
  14. that is funny i met your brother and have done a bit of caching with him because of going after some FTF's he has some very well though out caches and devious to boot. i have even managed to eek out a couple of FTF on his caches trying to beat the TUS to them.
  15. i love doing puzzles and i have one that i have hidden. if sombody wanted to just go find it i would gladly give them the coords as long as it is not for a FTF. i have asked the cache owners for for help on may puzzles and have asked for help /given help on many puzzles. as a result i have made many friends whom have traded phone numbers and gone caching with. so i have made friends and found some really cool puzzles caches as a result of asking for help.

  20. i work for a company that sells hydraulic and industrial hose. i set up a email account to get work emails and then found geocaching and used my email adress in my name here.
  21. even some of the caches i went on seemed pointless, i still had a great time and when it comes down to leaving notes like DPM mabey it is time to take up a new hobby that wont be below some one's high brow standards. sheesh this is about getting out and being a kid again on a treasure hunt not being stuffy. easy or hard i just want to get outside and have some fun.
