I found a Benchmark today while going for a walk at lunch and after doing a search I cannot seem to find it on Geocaching.com. How do I find this Benchmark? Is the a way to type in the streets? I already typed in the Zip Code (92868) and about 100 showed up. Thanks in advance.

Well I took Embra's advice and just ordered the screen protectors from Strongengineering.com. The service there is great and the price is just right. One other benefit is that the existing surface scratches will disappear when I apply the screen protector. Closing Thread.

I have discovered lately that I have serveral surface scratches on the screen of my Magellan Merigold. So my question is does anybody know how to get rid of them and/or the cost for Magellan to replace the screen. Also I have heard that you can purchase PDA screen protectors and cut them to size, does anyboy know where to buy some of those? Thanks in advance.

I went on the Magellan website and saw that there was a new downloadable upgrade to my Magellan Meridian Gold. I read the instructions on how to download the upgrade but I am confused about a part. The instructions say to clear your memory before downloading, what does that mean? I have probably 100 different waypoints saved on my GPS and I dont want to lose them.. Any clarification would be great. Thanks in advance.

I need some help, nothing serious but cannot seem to figure out how to set up my Meri Gold on the compass screen with an accuracy indicator. My friend has a Garmin Legend and he has the capability to see the accuracy in regards to his satellites and how close he is to a geocache. I would like to have that same option on my Meri Gold compass screen. I know how to customize each screen to get the functions that I want but can't seem to get this option. Can this be done and if so how? Thanks in Advance.

Where can I find Locationless caches On GC.com? I have looked all over and can't seem to find a seach tab for them.

My question that I have is as follows: If you own a copy of the Magellan DirectRoute Software, can you copy different states onto several SD cards for different users. I seem to remember something in these forums stating that this would not work due to some problems. The reason for this question is that I wanted to know if anyone would be willing to do this service for me? I would supply the SD card and pay $25 for these three States: California, Arizona and Florida. Thanks for the help either way!

Try the Meridian Gold or Platnium! Both are great units and a lot cheaper than the Explorists 500 or 600. Just my $.02

Ok so I have been GCing for about a month and have about 6 to 7 finds and I can say that I am now addicted. Today while I was caching with my son I came across my first Travel Bug and I did not take it due to the fact that I did not have anything to leave in its place. So here is my question, when I come across another TB or Geocoin are you supposed to leave something in its place? The thing is that I am a TNLNSL kinda guy and dont carry trade items with me. What is the proper procedure? Thanks

Anybody use the Camelbak Lobo?

I'm looking to purchase a good hydration pack and I want to know what some of the more experienced Geocachers use? I will be using it for short day hikes? Does anybody use a Camelbak Lobo? I am looking for something to hold the basics: first aid, flashlight, windbreaker, etc... Any help would be appreciated!

ChicagoCanine, I had the same problem and I just recently returned it to Magellan. The 2 differences between your situation and mine is mine is a Meridian Gold and it was only 2 weeks old! I am now waiting for the unit to come back!
