  1. Former Mounted Sheriff's Posse in IN. Does that count?
  2. I asked my daughter, age 8, what was her favorite part of Geocaching. Her reply was "finding the cache". I asked her if finding a toy in the cache was her favorite part, she said finding something in the cache made it a little bit more fun but she also likes finding micro caches. We always let her decide what to take and what to leave. There seems to be no pattern to her selections. I know some people are very opinionated about what should be left in a cache and my opinion is that as long as it's not trash and it's family friendly I'm happy and so is my daughter.
  3. Lurker? Me? Guilty as charged! I guess I do a lot of reading what other, more knowedgable, geocachers have written in order to learn from them. Being relatively new I don't have much to say. When I feel I have something to add I'll jump in. Right now I just happy to be able to post a find now and then.
  4. Thanks Dino Hunters! Love the western theme and the empty pockets fits our team name perfectly.
  5. I can't stand it any longer. I've been lurking all day looking at the really creative avatars that people have been designing. I don't have an avatar yet, mainly because I can't seem to come up with anything unique and I don't have that much computer talent. Maybe you can help me. Team name is Low on Cache, we are from Texas, like anything western or with horses. I'm a nerdy science teacher. Love Napoleon Dynamite. Relatively new to Geocaching. Usa a Garmine E-map GPSr. Would like anything that is eclectic or a bit edgy. I can be patient (haven't had an avatar since I started in Nov.). Thanks in advance for your input!
  6. We took up geocaching as an inexpensive new hobby. If the name fits.... Low on Cache
