  1. The waypoints are corporate locations for Garmin. I assume that they are test points for Garmin when they service/setup the GPS and they do give you something to play with until you get your own waypoints in. Fat, drunk, and stupid is no way to go through life, son!

  5. I think that paying to park is just the breaks of the game. I hope that the cache page notes that there is a parking fee, but if not, it is still a personal choice issue. Pay or pass... Fat, drunk, and stupid is no way to go through life, son!

  7. quote:Minex writes: The biggest response I get is :"Wow, that's the most geekiest/nerdiest activity I've seen to date". Not in those exact words, but thats the feeling I get when I describe geocaching to people. The other common response is : "So these caches you search for--do they hide great treasure?". After telling them the concept, they respond, "*cough* no thank you... not for me." Shrug, I've basically given up trying to spread the word. Call me nerdy/geeky... I'm sitting in my living room, watching TV, using the laptop over a wireless connection into DSL... If that is the definition, then so be it! Fat, drunk, and stupid is no way to go through life, son!

  13. I haven't used anything but the topo maps. These are really useful in that it adds a lot of street data that isn't current in the basemaps, lesser road info, and the terrain. Fat, drunk, and stupid is no way to go through life, son!

  21. I have been changing my existing queries instead of setting up new ones, cince there doesn't appear to be any way to cancel a query. This might be a good feature to add... Edited on 8/5/2002: I went ahead and suggested that this might be a good feature from the suggested features link on my home page. Fat, drunk, and stupid is no way to go through life, son!

  23. I voted both, but I wanted to add the stipulation that you not handle the syringes without some sort of protection--heavy leather gloves come to mind. Fat, drunk, and stupid is no way to go through life, son!

  25. Check ExpertGPS (the big brother to EasyGPS). It will do the maps in addition to the waypoints. I don't have ExpertGPS but I'm using MapSource Topo, which works pretty well once you figure out what to do with it. Also, you might check and see that you have the most common version of MapSource. You can download the newest version, which will give you some new funcitonality and icons. Fat, drunk, and stupid is no way to go through life, son!
