  12. I think that limiting the minting of geocoins to 300-500 is great. It makes a particular geocoin more desireable to us collectors. However, with the recent boom in collectors, these limited editions are selling out in less than 24 hours. Witness the KTAG and WCRC coins over the past week or so. What happens is the coin groups are gobbling up the coins all at once. I'm considering minting a coin for the group I belong to, but when/if I do, I plan to limit the pre-orders to 5 per geocacher for a period. Maybe 3 days to a week. This gives the individuals a chance to get theirs before the coin groups come in and pre-order theirs. What does the group think? Good idea? Bad? What other ideas do folks have for giving everyone a chance?

  14. It's actually quite simple. Say your bug names are in the "A" column, and the mileages for those bugs is in the "B" column, all you have to do is go to the cell in which you want the total displayed and type: sum=(B1:B33) hit enter and it lotals the values entered in from B1 to B33 (in this example) Where B1 is the first cell containing mileage data and B33 is the last cell.
  15. We'd go with 2 to 5 -- trackable or not. If not trackable, we'd prefer they be numbered.

  19. I've dropped bugs off while on vacation and didn't have computer access. In my case, the person who picked up the bug grabbed it, logged it into the cache I left it in and then retrieved it from that cache. Simple. It showed the visit to that cache and the miles. And the current holder has it. In my opinion, if everybody who came across an unlogged bug would do this, maybe there wouldn't be so many lost.
  20. I didn't think they did, but... Sure would be nice to have a web site that showed all of the available coins out there. I know Nurse Dave's shows many, but are they all?
