  1. Just thought I'd pop in and state that at no point was I accusing anyone of being a cheater and I certainly didn't think we'd end up accusing Canadians of being notorious cheaters. Since the 'one find' rule was put on this cache after the fact, I see nothing wrong with the multiple finds. I've talked to TVN about another of their caches and understand how dificult it is to monitor the number of logs a locationless cache generates. Wulf
  2. When will the US realize that a crack team of geocachers are all they need to find the WMD's?
  3. Easiest way I found was to get all the logs to display then just 'Ctrl-F' and search for the city or state. Wulf
  4. You asked, so here it is..... http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.aspx?ID=19564 Wulf
  5. Was checking the logs on a locationless today to see if anyone had used my spot yet. Boy was I surprised to see that while no one has used my find yet, I did see that someone had logged 42 different 'finds' for the same cache. How can you possibly log 42 finds on a locationless if the rule is one find per cacher? Anyone got a higher count than this one? Wulf
  6. *digs deep to find a good tie into other topics* "For $75 you can get a unicycle...or you can get a life" "well, the cache discription did say to leave something worth at least $50." Wulf
  7. I like the idea of easy access to supplies, especially dogtags, but I have to agree with the problem of 200 million cachers. I'm not happy with the thought of standing in line with 20 other people, waiting my turn to log a cache. Wulf
  8. Here's the cache I mentioned, you decide if 'corrected co-ords' would be a spoiler. Poor Japanese Translation Super Fun Cache http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_detai...e3-95711555d111 Wulf
  9. I have issues with the people who feel they have to post the co-ords they got on every cache they find. I know of one cache that was purposely placed 'incorrectly' that went unfound until someone 'corrected' the co-ords, then everyone ran out to find it. If you want to post some interesting observational data, fine, just think if what you say will cause that big 'CACHE HERE --->' sign to light up. Wulf
  10. I may be wrong here, but I thought we already do pay for it? Our tax dollars (I'm sure us Canadians put money in the pot too) paid for the R&D, the launchs etc. This isn't the same as TV which is a commercial venture. I suppose if someone (Microsoft?) were to setup a private GPS network, then we'd be expected to pay. Wulf
  11. Useful stuff is a good idea. If it's a themed cache, then stock it to the theme. FTF prizes are nice, but optional. I've never found anything except a nice TB as first finder, but we've put scratch tickets in our caches for FTF.
  12. I've gone after a few that made me think of that Talking Heads song 'Road to Nowhere' Wulf
  13. I've noticed that sort of thing in alot of places. We just had our local Honda/Yamaha dealer go bankrupt due to their 'inability to remain price competitive". Funny thing was, they were unable to supply you with Honda parts in under a month that the Suzuki dealer could get in 2 days.LOL Wulf
  14. Oddly, I've discovered that London Drug is not located anywhere near London, ON. Not only that, but they apparently do not sell drugs of any kind. Wulf
  15. Locationlesses are kinda cool, but tricky. It's sometimes hard to find valid logs. I wanted to log the train in downtown Windsor last summer, but someone else had already used it on Feb 1, 2003. I have a few ideas for ones I'd like to post, but I'm not sure quite yet. Wulf
  16. I'd kinda hoped to turn it into a cache<g> BTW...any thought on setting up a 'cache rescue' system to clear out any geotrash?
  17. Hard Oiler, you're welcome to come down to Windsor and work your majick on our local parks deparments. If the weather clears, I might be able to swing up your way to join the fun. We'd hoped to be up there to name our new well, but I guess we didn't win it :-( Wulf
  18. Well that's something you'd never find in my local Future Shop. I have noticed alot more 'idle' staff hanging around since they opened the Best Buy. lol For that matter, you'd never see that at most of the Wallys I've shop in either<g>
  19. CT is great. Now if only we could get a Harbor Freight store. Wulf
  20. If you're in Jackson, Don&Betty have a couple of challenging math caches. Wulf
  21. If anyone needs a good cat name, I'll suggest Bag Lady. I was going to say Retardcat, but Star already used that one. Wulf
  22. MIN! or maybe Tigger (our Min sure does bounce around alot<g>)
  23. Not sure which cache I'd list as my favorite, but I'll give Team Tecumseh props for their ERCA multi. Takes a while to do it (70ish miles) and the stages give some variety in challenge. Star really enjoyed a virtual down in Indiana (Take a Seat). You could spend hours wandering around the area reading the stories next the graves. Wulf
  24. Not sure I'd like to try that one this time of year<g>
