  1. I just call them 1st level administrative divisions. I believe Groundspeak uses the ISO 3166 standard. Here is good source of the divisions I would like a macro for the 1st level administrative I have visited but it is doubtful Groundspeak will ever list the 1st level divisions for all the countries I have visited.
  2. Lets remember the original intent of this thread. Posting logs of those who "Found It = Didn't Find It" No other discussion.
  3. I might try that! Zip ties don't stretch
  4. Using Garmin POI you can have almost unlimited amount of caches with full details.
  5. I still use Trips and Streets for planning. County borders seldom change so don't know what the issue is.
  6. Also looks like they logged a find on all them as well. If I had seen this yesterday I could have made a bookmark list. But I deleted them from my database.
  7. Fotologging seems to be growing in popularity. Especially when someone wants to color in a new country.
  8. They could add a whole bunch of new state/province/1stLevelAdministrationUnits Currently they only have them for Australia, Canada, Germany, Ireland and the US
  9. If that holds true I'll get 6 more souvis.
  10. Not sure if this is your issue Not all USB cables are equal.
  11. If you use GSAK with the Nuvi_GPX_v2.Gsk macro and poiloader you can have almost unlimited amount of caches on your 255W nuvi. Mileage may vary with different models.

  13. Just got my 62nd country today. United Arab Emirates Still have 2 more on tap for 2016.
  14. Cache was placed in 2007 with no other real finds. XXXXXXXX Caches Found5609 Found it 23 May 15 We planned the trip to XXXXXXXXXXXXX Falls for quite some time. But only yesterday did I look on the GC map and was positively surprised: There is a cache to be found. On our way back from the falls, I was able to convice my party to make a little stop. We searched the area but did not find the container. However, I dare to log as find as I have been "here".
  15. Tell that to anyone not using one of the Garmin Oregon 600 series, Monterra or GPSMAP 64 series and see what kind of response you get. Garmin POIs give me many caches (at least 80,000) on a 62s
  16. I have found 1.2% of all the caches in India.
  17. And a lot of the missing ones are being fotologged.
  18. May I point out, that geocaching is not played in the US only. In other parts of the world it is in the middle of the night. And cachers find caches all day and all night long.
  19. You also may want to check with your cell provider. I know T-mobile lets you have international data roaming for free depending on what plan you have. If you are going somewhere for awhile consider getting a local SIM card. I never travel international without a backup plan I also use Locus with the GSAK add-on. Excellent maps.
  20. There's a series nearby, two-hundred-somewhat caches along a county highway. All are listed as small. Most, if not all, are micros: MKH, pill bottles &c. Many are throw downs, since the CO relies on other cachers to replace missing caches. That is sad..
  21. Agree I hate them especially in a big city and you are fidgeting with a baggie whilst standing in a bush. Just doesn't look good. I use waterproof paper in a lot of my caches but get a lot of Needs maintenance logs because of wet log. Even more helpful are the people who replace my waterproof paper with paper cause they were wet.
