  1. i just shipped mine overseas where they dont complain about them or hoard them...they are just so dadgum happy to see one they want everyone to see it...so far the two i sent overseas were warmly welcomed and the more i pick up the more will go overseas. at least they pick up miles that way and do not get stalled in someones personal collection. though i think i would probably keep the Dennis WJTB...well no i wouldnt i would like to log it for stupid reasons like it is my name...
  2. try not using proprietary software...try FireFox!!
  3. i have already mailed one off...should i come into contact with another one i will post again...thanks for the huge response!
  4. dont get the GPS60...i have one and i think it sucks. when my Legend C says i am dead on the GPS60 says i am 35-50 ft off. i cannot explain the anomaly. GO FOR THE LEGEND C...and you wont have to upgrade in 6 months too!
  5. ok...i have read this thread through...i agree that some of the loggers are less than educated...but what about the cache owners that dont keep on top of their cache logs to see if things are going the way they are supposed to? if you allow some of this nonsense you should be on cache placing probation for neglect...we need some mystery cachers...those who make sure that logs like these are being brought to admins attention... here is my bogus log for the thread... April 14 by <CLUELESS>(19 found) BEAUTIFUL ROAD and OAK TREES!!! Unforgettable trip !!! But, when we got there, someone had dug up the cache and stole the cache - just a hole in the ground where it used to reside. Well worth the time and hunt, though. Enjoyed it greatly!
  6. all you NZers...NZs first WJTB will be headed there this week...RotLA will be introducing this TB to NZ.
  7. anything for a Moun10bike geocoin...heck...mail it to me so i can touch it, log it and i will mail it back...i just want the stupid icon...i dont care to keep it...anyone care to take me up on this lucrative offer, i will throw in some Chik-fil-a coupons to to make it worth your while.
  8. Does anyone want to log a new 2005 White Jeep TB? I woud be willing to send a new 2005 WJTB to New Zealand if you will provide me with a shipping address. The only stipulation would be that you not keep it, but place it in a cache for others to find.
  9. Since i know not to many Jeep TBs make it to Europe...I am looking for someone to provide me a mailing address so i can send a 2005 White Jeep TB to them to get it circulating in Europe. Please contact me through my profile contact info.
  10. i bet these dont last half as long as the YJTBs.
  11. TeamSnook has one...it is the same icon...different color...
  12. District 44 has some representation for this bill in the Senate...i would encourage the SC geocachers to hit up their Senators. I got this reply from Senator Mescher today... GENERAL COMM. MAILBOX SENATE to me More options 10:30 am (4 hours ago) Thanks for your comments. I'm opposed to H.3777. My brother is much into the Geocache hobby. I've been out with him a couple of times and enjoyed the hunt. Sincerely, Sen. Mescher >>> Dennis Demski <dennis.demski@gmail.com> 05/20/05 12:30:35 AM >>> - Show quoted text -
  13. would virtuals not be a loophole in the H3777 bill? it denotes that a geocache is looking for a container or a hidden object...what if the object is a tomb stone? would that be hidden? so why not remove the cache and make it a virt? than we wouldnt be looking for anything except something that is already there. I bet if i started a locationless that said to find a gravesite that was damaged by geocachers in SC that i would have a pretty low number of finds on that one huh?
  14. you will never see any of these aforementioned coins in a cache so who really cares? who cares if they are trackable? the only tracking that will go on will be the owner who bought one logging it in and than sitting on his/her desk and or stuffing it in a box of geocaching trinkets that amounts to about 20 dollars.
  15. im looking for anyone that can help me log a Moun10bike geocoin.
  16. maybe a trusted agent designator...when you sucessfully pick one up and drop it off you can earn a score. that way when you see your TB picked up you can check that persons score and see how likely it is that your TB will be moved along and not kept as a trinket...just an idea.
  17. I think that after reading the other posts on this would be just to get more reviewers. have special reviewers for locationless caches. how hard could it be. though i do agree that anyone can make one, like micros, but other people still enjoy trying to find them. can we get a definite answer on this matter? or will it still be "this year" sometime?
  18. i whole heartedly side with CR and his better half. the remarks are straight forward and there are several other remarks by other cachers that drip with disgust for a poorly placed cache.
  19. if one of my caches really did suck that bad i would be so thankful for having someone with the balls to stand up and say something about it. it is a cache...not my mother. i dont think anyone read the article in the USA TODAY a couple of weeks ago at how there is a thin skinned generation that is being raised. i also have a VEYR hard time with tact? whatever that is. all those people want to be PC...are we losing our right to speak freely?
  20. i think you should make it a puzzle cache too. you can have them goto the lighthouse at some designated coord and have them figure out why it isnt a virtual cache? i think it is a great idea. you can delete any logs that dont agree that this should be a virtual. i am all for getting this one placed. personally any cache that takes me to some place i have never been is nice. making this a virt just plays by the rules.
  21. does anyone have a clue when the moratoreum on locationless caches was going to be lifted? it has been 2 years now and no one has said a word? does anyone want them to come back? it seems like they are taking away virtuals too...is caching just going to be a bunch of boxes laying around everywhere? does anyone have vision at Groundspeak? is there a direction that we are going to go with caching?
  22. I am looking to talk to someone who is familiar with wireless networking with the Dell Axim X30 specifically, and the PocketPC OS...please e-mail me.
  23. Hank, the owner of the wheresgeorge.com web site inactivated his geocaching george hits because people were logging miles and hits with the same bill, which is against the rules of his web site.
  24. I know that i have been a vacationer and have grabbed several TBs while i have been on vacation and brought them back to my home town...but i have logged all of min ein the computer and advised the owner that i was going to hold the TB for about a week and a half and that it would definitely be put back into circulation in a certain area. I do hesitate to put out travel bugs for the reason being discussed here though.
