  1. This has worked with a macro for a long time. All of a sudden it will ask of you to click on an all nuvi button and not a drop box for a specific nuvi. Under the all nuvi thing it is not deleting the old query even though it is marked do do so. I used easygps but it does not give all info. Any suggestions? I do not use the POI loader
  2. I did what you suggested. It did wipe everything clean. I need to find a micro disk adapter to wipe the disk clean. Also I think trying to load 900 caches as I have done in the past might have contributed to the problem. I redid the pocket quarry to GSAK to just 500. It appears to be ok now. Thanks for your suggestion.
  3. I was using gsak to update my 62st when the gps started its loading of basemaps thing it just stopped there and shut down. Batteries are fresh. Had simular problem with a 60csx but I do not remenber what solved it. Garmin site or manual failes to help me.
  4. Same here in Ohio Grouchymedic getting groucher
  5. Thanks, He had it on the maps page at the top, but this will work I think.
  6. I am have a terrible time finding the current coordinates on my 62st They were always right there on my 60csx. A Garman rep at geowoodstock had trouble doing it but evidently I wasn't watching close enough-- in the crowd. Can someone please walk me through how to do it?
  7. I learned on my 60csx that I could reset it to remove all cache downloads to clear it for a new PQ. I can't seem to clear them on my new 62st doing a reset. I'm leaving for woodstock in about 5 hrs and would appreciate any help on deleting any pq download so as to load a new one.
  8. Thanks for the help. Groundspeak told me to go thru google but I couldn't figure it out. I had to change email address and it wouldn't work but it updated now. Tkx
  9. I recently had to repurchase the android app as my android phond died. Now I see via newsletter that there is an update. Another 10 bucks. Is there a way to get the 2. update without paying when you just loaded the last one?
  10. Well for all of the hassle I paid for it again. The Groundspeak folks need the money so they can fix the web site. Case closed!
  11. That didn't work. It still asks for a credit card. Is that because I had to change my gmail address due to prior problem?
  12. I had to reboot my android phone due to not getting ring notification on new geocaches. Now the app for caching is gone and it is a new $9.99 charge. I only had app 6 months. How do I get it back on rebooted phone for no charge
  13. Yep--They want the fee and normally do a great job but its time to invest the profits in getting the service up to speed, even on weekends or drop the fee.
  14. I have had the same problem all day also. I tried Dstar22 fix. that does not work. I have no problem on my laptop. ( I'm using that now ) just the desk top. I has worked up untio now. Would appreciate any help to fix it.
  15. I decided to do a few caches and did a download into gsak. I found that there had been several new caches that I had not gotten info on via e-mail. I already had it set to get it twice ( by mistake ) to get notification of new caches via e-mail. Should I check out something or is it a fluke?
  16. By any chance does that new computer have Win & 64-bit on it? I had a plam and had simular problems with gsak. I finall called palm and the guy told me that Palm is not compatible with Win 7 64-bit. So I bought a nuvi to put info on.
  17. When I get to the box where it asks what foulder the POIloader is in. I type what example shows and that does not work I have tried other files and I just can't get it to go. I bought this strictly to replace my palm. Thanks
  18. Win 7 and Vista should be just about identical. Can you describe what you did, and what didn't work? The most common problem is that POI Loader is not looking in the same directory the GSAK macro is writing to.
  19. Totaltechworld which I got off a forum on this site is where the program came from It refers to win vista but it said win 7 would work. guess not. It is a 255w nuvi Any help would be great as I'm spending all too much time on this and getting nowhere. Thanks
  20. I debated for some time as to what I would use to replace my Palm since it won't work with Win 7 64-bit . I finally sent for and received the Nuvi. Now I can not figure out how to load the caches. I followed the program suggested. I first get an error message that I don't have the right link for the program to load. Then I got some caches in California ( I am in Ohio ) and even at that I just got a CX-- for a cache and no other info. Can someone out there help me through this. ( And don't use win 7 if you can avoid it. My laptop died and I was forced to get another and it has Win 7 with 64-bit.
  21. I downloaded all of the info. Now waiting on Nuvi. Thanks for the help.
  22. This page can do so much better than I can, complete with screen captures. http://geocaching.totaltechworld.com/ Edit : and for what it's worth, I'm using it on 64 bit Vista.
  23. I found that my palm is not compatable with Win-7 64-bit. I've pretty much decided to go with a NUVI to show the cache info. I have a 60csx for gpsr. I was told to go to Macro then to Garman nuvi export Poi . It says not available. Would someone walk me thru the loading process that for sure works before I invest in the NUVI. Thanks
