    TB race?

    I am wanting to start a TB race i have the fourm and i still working the bugs 0ut and i am good about running a forum because in the past i ran a alliance,and a alliance forum with an on-line game.But the part with Affiliate links i am having a bit of trouble with Link URL:and Image URL:Now i did read a little about Groundspeak //Displaying Several Trackables on the Same Page, Good For Races. this is what i do not understand and was hopeing someone would point me in the right way of how to fix this?→Find the GUID of all the Trackable Items you want to include.

    Insert that GUID at the end of this URL format:

    http://img.geocaching.com/stats/tb.aspx?gu...11496d16114-beb

    That is, in the above example, replace everything after "guid=" with the guid number of your own Trackable Items.

    For example:

    Dont know what the GUID IS ??

    I want to get a tattoo of the travel bug, with actual trackable numbers? my thoughts were, actually order actual travel bug tags, and then have that number tattooed on, along with the symbol. and then just keep the actual tag safely at home. I would have it in a very noticeable place on my body, and any geocacher would be welcome to track my number? has this ever been done?? is it allowed? or totally insane?? any ideas, or info is greatlly appreciated... thanks, canvasguy

    dont feel bad my first time 0ut i didnt find nothing the first 3 times i starting to belive this is not a good hobby i didnt give up i am up to 143 finds so far

    Just wandering what yall listen to while geocaching whether in the car or out in the field. Any speicific playlist or song(s) ya like to listen to?

     

    I Think anything by CCR is good for it or some celtic music or even nature music.

    I'm writing to request permission to place a geocache in _______. If you are not familiar with the term geocache, it's the focal point of a sport called geocaching. This entails a person hiding a small container (the geocache), usually containing a log book and trinkets, then using a Global Positioning System receiver (GPSr) to mark the longititude and latitude of the geocache. The coordinates are then published on the Internet to allow others to find it.

     

    Geocaching is a fun, family oriented activity that has the benefit of getting people outdoors and introducing them to areas of historic, natural, or scenic interest.

     

    Managers of many parks and nature preserves have determined that geocaching is a beneficial, low impact activity and encourage the sport on their lands. They see the additional visitors and increased exposure that geocaching brings as a plus. Similarly, geocachers often discover exciting new places through the sport, while getting exercise and gaining an appreciation for these areas.

     

    I believe that ________ is one of the special places that would be of interest to geocachers and would like to explore the possibility of my placing a geocache there. I will be calling you shortly to discuss this, or if you prefer you can contact me at _________.

    Have a triton 300 and an etrex summit which are close in price.

     

    Can anyone tell me which are best for geocaching.

    trust me when i say this i gotten the triton at first and than it didnt work trying to find geocaching,so i to0k it back and goten a bushnell that didnt work so i to0k it back and now i have Garmin eTrex Vista its the best finding geocaching i say go with the GARMIN eTrex Vista †
