  1. The main reason for me to geocache is the thrill of the hunt and pitting my intelect against those who hide the caches.

  5. One time I was searching for the cache "Continuing Story" in West Allis, WI and I had 3 attempts totaling around 5 hours that day. One of them I brought my dad along to help cover more area, fat load of good that did for me. I'll try later in the summer.
  6. Sounds like you had a good time. It's easy to get hooked.
  7. It all depends on where you get it. If you get anything that runs on electricity you wasted a dollar. They have small toys that are worth the money (army men and the like).
  8. Yesterday I found the geocache called "Cornered" that has some of the best camo possible. I won't say anymore, I'll let you find that out for yourself.
  9. Is there a geocaching magazine or any plans for one? If there is could you please talk about it here. If there isn't one in the works or already out there how would you feel about one?
  10. Great Idea, wisconsin should get on the bandwagon and start promoting geocaching, we've got a lot of them.
  11. I first found out about geocaching through the Milwaukee Journal Sentinal. They ran an article about a lady and her son who found a lot of caches. My mom showed it to me and after reading it I was instantly hooked.
  12. If you live in southeastern wisconsin then a store called American Science and Surplus has all sorts of containers that would be good for a micro cache.
  13. Paradise city by Guns n Roses and anything else form the 80's.
  14. I've gotten my dad hooked on it. If it takes me to long to start moving after i have stopped to check my coordinates he'll take the gps out of my hands and give it a try himself.
  15. I use hints anytime I've been walking aimlessly in the woods for anywhere from a half-hour to an hour.
  16. This one time I spent over two hours looking for a cache. I went uphill and right back down. Sore feet by the end of it. Fun though.
  17. I agree with this, most people enjoy the thrill of the hunt and wouldn't bother with trying to find all the stuff out off the web.
  18. I agree. I loved that movie and thought it was very well done. It really reminded me of the Da Vinci Code.
  19. Wow thats some cache. If you could set that up it would be the hardest cache ive ever heard of. Good luck with that. Maybe it will inspire others to start their own extreme geocaches.
  20. Forums are definitely the best way for geocachers all over the world to talk and discuss geocaching and related subjects. Though they are sometimes hostile they are also informative. for all those who think its to hostil in here do not be set off from putting valuable information in here. If everyone was afraid then the forums would come to a stand still.
  21. I agree. If it endangers your health make sure to let others know but leave it to the proper channels.
  22. Geocaching is a sport that relies on nature. It is every cachers responsibility to CITO. If they talk about it in the log book who cares? If talking about it in the logbook makes them more inclined to pick it up more power to them. Thats the way its done in Wisconsin.
