  1. Nice, but that was last year's fall production at Brenda's high school (Arabian Nights)...LOL
  2. SWEET! Thanks Doc! You rock! Loved the cointest...never realized how geeky I was...LOL Oh yeh...I have to add that we too have a "crunchy with ketchup" bumper sticker...one of my favorite quotes!
  3. We have all the book, all the movies, and all of the audiobooks. We have been to all of the midnight book release parties, including the one that conflicted with MWGB...cute little bookstore in Indiana. We have also been to the opening nights of all the movies, except the last one...we were on vacation and it broke my heart that we could not go. Right now, we are in the process of rewatching Harry Potter from the beginning...because Heather has finally expressed an interest in it...and, although she has seen most of the movies, she was too young to remember most of them.
  4. OMG! I've done that too. Usually, you can see me walking around with dried playdough on my rear, and colorful paint under my fingernails...job hazard. In response to the post someone else had about programming in basic...I used to be able to do that, plus pascal, cobol and fortran on TRS-80's...I was 1 of only 6 (1 of only 2 girls) that took Computer Sci 2 in high school. All of the geology students used to bug me for help with their required computer class. In response to the coin club...the only coins I collect now are geocoin. I have some coin sets from back in the day. We found lots of cool stuff with the metal detector...coins, rings...the most intersting thing (found by my dad) was gold teeth.
  5. Well having hosted 2 of these events with version coins and being out of pocket $XXX last event. Shhhhh do not tell the wife. It is up to each event holder to decide what you need to charge to cover costs, as pointed out some have to pay a whole lot more for shipping + finish + glow or pearl and it goes on... $104 for shipping to Oz this year... seems reasonable and will be factored into the overall cost of coins and hosting. Most likely the Perth Australia price (Tho not set in stone)will be $11 bucks, we think it sounds reasonable and is in line with the event theme Hmmm...I seem to recall the price being set the same for everyone participating in the previous events (except for the 888...which I remember setting our local price at $8.88...I thought it was cute, but ended up a making change nightmare). I just noticed in the FAQ's that the host can set their own price.

  7. Hmmm...so many choices. 1) I had a recipe box that I to carry around my Star Wars trading cards in school (still have the complete set of cards) 2) In jr high purchased a disctionary to assist in entering a word scramble contest (I think it was put on by Atari) 3) I was so proud of my Pitfall award patch 4) I belonged to a coin club with my dad 5) I went to metal detecting events (like caching events) with my family 6) I was president of the geology club in college and one of only 2 members of the geology honorary (an officer too, but I don't remember which one) 7) I held an "end of the series" party for the last episode of Star Trek, the Next Generation...complete with a Starfleet uniform cake 8) One of my prized possessions is a hammer engraved with my name edit to add picture... All ready to enter a zinc mine...complete with safety glasses, hard hat and hand lense
  8. Coin rec'd from DrNeal @ GW9...and from eseurat in the mail. Waiting on 2 coins...but leaving for vacation today. I'll post again when we return.
  9. We're heading out tonight to GW. Staying an hour away, so we won't see anyone until Saturday. Hope to see some of of you guys at the geocoin event. We don't have a new coin, but will bring some misc traders and some dragon eyes.
  10. One coin mailed out...3 coins packed to be hand delivered.
  11. Eartha is right...LE stands for Limited Edition. We received one of these LE coins from Anthus years ago. It is non-trackable.
  12. We will be at GW...Friday night at the Comfort Inn in Barkeyville area (we will not be making it to any of the Friday activities), and Saturday night at the Super 8 in Warren. You might find us somewhere at GW during the day, but the best bet would be at the Geocoin Madness event in the evening.
  13. I am seeking a Mythical Mystical Fire Dragon GEOCOIN Club GCC May 2011. My trading list is seriously out of date...I have a lot of coins available for trade not listed. Email me (no PM's please), and hopefully I can find a coin you'd be interested in.
  14. Need to get mine in... Edit to say I added a few...will add more if I have the time to dig thru my coins, but not sure if I will be able to...
  15. I don't think that's dark green. Looks like #21 trans to me, which is blue. Probably the illusion of green...yellow (gold finish) + trans blue = green??
  16. I still have a few coin sets left after our event on Sunday...same deal as Mark...$23 (includes shipping) for the set (1 trackable coin plus 8 interchangeable tags) or trade offers (2 coins/set). Just email me thru my profile if interested. Thanks!
  17. You've met us...doesn't that count?
