  1. No problem. Now if I could just get a responce from the people that have mine Flick The Ant and Space Snoopy, but after repeated e-mails, it looks like they may be headed for the TB graveyard Bob G.
  2. You might want to grab him and set him in this cache 20 CNTS CACHE OF WYOMING It seems they took him here and don't know anything about logging them properly. Bob G. (1pilot)
  3. I just got a good deal on a 64mb sandisk SD card ($35.00) at Wal*mart. came home and created two reagions to load in it.After loading it I noticed that it made them both into one map? In the menu at the change map screen there is only one option and that is detail00.img. I don't have a card reader. Is there any way to make it so I can seperate the reagions? This is the second time I tryed, the first time I made three reagions and the map would not even load. All three reagions totaled to 54000kb, so I thought it might have been too large to open at once. Any help is appreacated. Bob G. (1pilot)
  4. There are two I can think of in the Portland /Vancouver area This one in Vancouver And this one inOregon City Both use that same Idea Bob G.
  5. quote:Originally posted by infosponge: Those of us who were using GPS before they turned off "Selective Availability" are even more appreciative that the GPS unit doesn't show you roaming around at various speeds while you're standing still. :-). I'll say!! Before SA was turned off, I couldn't find my own driveway with my GPS. It never was in the same place as I marked it. Bob G.
  6. I downloaded the upgrade a few days ago, and was not sure I wanted to risk it, after reading the horror stories from some users, but I went ahead and did it....all the while holding my breath (I about turned blue). When it was over I went out side, turned it on and after initializing it, got good sat lock and everything works fine. I followed the instructions to the letter and had no problems at all. Is there a different version of firmware for each type of Meridian? I have a Merigreen and got mine from the Meridian GPS (green) page, if so maybe you have the wrong upgrade? Just a thought. Now to try it on a cache Bob G. (1pilot)
  7. Hi, I own a Magellan Meridian and can tell you that, when you load your card it deleats the previous region or regions that were on there. If you want more than one, you need to create them all at once. I only have a 16mb card, and can load up to four regions. In the mapsend program it tells you (in the bottom right corner of mapsend topo anyway) how many you can create as long as you stay within the memory bounds. It will also tell you if you create a region or regions too big for your card. Hope that helps. Bob G. (1pilot)
  8. Thanks SETH! My bugs will have this attached, I seem to have lost both of the bugs I've released, I am still holding some hope, BUT, after looking at this page Travel Bug Gravyard I think I might as well give up on them and move them here. Bob G. (1pilot)
  9. I am a Magellan owner from way back before SA was turned off. My first Magellan was a Blazer12 with NO bells or whistles at all, and only two digits after the decimal. I found my first eighty caches with it,so it will get you to the right place. Your hides, however, will all end in 0 as in .780 instead of .784 or whatever. But all the hides I did with it were found, so yours should serve you well. I now use a Meridian that does everything but open the ammo can for me. Bob G. 10. You might want to check on your ANNA's cache also, it seems to be gone too. Bob G.
  11. I found this neat Excel spread sheet,by one of our fellow cachers in the U.K. Check it out. The Waypoint Workbench v6.1 What it will do Bob G. (1pilot) [This message was edited by 1pilot on December 17, 2002 at 09:47 AM.]
  12. quote:Originally posted by fractal: Well.. _Hopefully_ there will be some cachers that are afraid of heights so it won't go to the top so fast... Plus, it would be cheaper for me But.. Just so everyone knows.. _The Tungsten Jihad!_ has already told me that he's going to get there first and take the marker to the top... Anyone care to challenge him? Well,I'm a tad lighter than The Tungsten Jihad! And I was the highest climber on the OLD Tree hugger, before fractal brought it back down to start it over and it was lost....I might just give him a challenge...although he is quite fearless........ This one had us,(about twenty or so?) hopping trains terrorizing commuters, running with sissors, and carring a small coffin-like box full of feed your head geo-bubbles (one of them contained the final cooridnance of said fractal) around Portland for three hours or so. As there is only one fractal, and he's Portlands I think you should plan to be here for the game V2.0 (1pilot)
