  1. We're doing good. We don't do as much caching anymore but we still walk the trails. Pretty hot out there yesterday so we only did one was a 2.37 kilometre trail but it was a good one. We pretty much do the caches that are on trails as I don't really like to do the park and grab caches. He turns 19 years old tomorrow and we're having a birthday bbq for him at his place.
  2. My son has his own account now and I'm enjoying finding the ones that I've placed. I don't log them as found, but my son does on his account because he wasn't with me when I hid them. It's amazing how far away that the cache gets moved as it never seems to be in the same spot as I put it.
  3. It was atsteele's thread. Wish I knew how it was going too.
  4. That is so good TeamTarr. My 18 year old son, who also has autism, likes going geocaching with me on the weekends too. So glad that your son has found an interest. My son has very limited interests, so of course I'm absolutely thrilled that he has decided that he likes to hunt them with me too.
  5. No action in this thread since last year. How is everyone's sons and daughters doing? My son is now 18 and this year he has been wanting to spend most of the weekend walking or doing the trails so I decided to have him get his own account here. His name is NishGuy so now we are going back and he can find the ones that I've put out and also the ones on the trails that we walk on.
  6. Last year for my birthday, my friend emailed me some coordinates, wished me Happy Birthday, and to go to the coordinates to grab something for my Birthday. She had some goodies for me in a camo'd Lock and Lock container stuck in a tree. Loved it!
  7. We have a 16 year old son with autism. Don't think there is any kind of group like that here in Ontario, Canada either. I've taken him with me out letterboxing, and he seems to like following me around out in the woods too. He'll stick with it for finding one, and then he'll want to go back to the van.
  8. I'm a lurker as I just started geocaching late January of this year. I try to come here and read topics a couple times a week so I can learn more about this wonderful hobby. We're from Canada so we've been trying to find the caches that are winter-friendly. Spring looks like it is on it's way so hopefully we'll be able to find more soon.
