  1. I just can't be arsed to get upset about something like that. I'm just happy that people are finding my caches - that's what they're there for! yes, true, but (you'll understand what i mean) when you go through the planning and work to do a cache that is different, a sole TFTC is somewhat dissapointing
  2. Thanks for the update Kayleo. interesting stuff!
  3. yes i agree, but as a cache owner i extremly dislike it when TFTC is the only thing on the online log
  4. I've taken a few paths where i wished i had my machete. but usually i'll just push on with just my hands. i bushwacked yesterday in my running shoes cause i forgot my boots, yep each cache is an adventure
  5. question answered, it was about dipping, and i totally understand now
  6. how do you log a tb or in my case geocoin for miles?
  7. Not according to what has been reported in the other thread. Your choice of browser has nothing to do with this message. hmm, interesting, well, i use my phone so i've not had any problems

  9. to the OP, you might consider downloading another web browser and try to access GC.com with it ie. Mozilla has several, there's Google Chrome, and the ever basic Internet Explorer
  10. ok it looks like (to me) that this tasteless cache has not been placed
  11. a basic member can also add a cache to their watch list
  12. Oh, I have, you just missed it... http://www.mtn-man.org/adminbrick.html That is linked off of and explained on this page -- http://www.mtn-man.org/geocoins.html wow, very funny, where do i get one?
  13. ok folks, thanks for the input, some very cool ideas here!

  15. Welcome back KC!! Hope the vacation was good! yes! welcome back!
  16. ok, true story-happened last night- i live on a country road, i have one cache .3 miles west and i just placed one .6 miles east. the one i just placed was published last night and i forgot to add my sig coin. i prefer to walk or run or exercise. well i ran to the cache, put in the coin, then decided to run down to the local refreshment facility and hang out with some friends. by the time we got done it was 1:50 am. so i started on my trek home and about a 1/3rd of the way back all a sudden a deputy pulled up behind me with the lights on. he asked me what i was doing and i told him i was out for a run, (which i was, i usually run a mile each night, but usually somewhat earlier then 2am) and i offered my id, since i had made a trek into the bush to put the swag into my cache i wore boots lol. he thoughr i was nuts since i waas wearing boots and running. but he just told me to be safe and careful. i have no problem giving a LEO my id, or doing anything they ask. they are doing their job, why complicate a situation more by being obstinate, or difficult?
  17. anyone have pictures or thoughts of hanging a lock n lock, a carabiner somehow attatched is the general idea
  18. ALR- Additional Logging Requirement i alos believe that there is a list of acronyms in the FAQ section on GC.com
  19. A prize is not necessary, usually there is a $1 or $5 bill in there, bust most of the time nothing just the fact that U R FTF is enough. Scubasonic Really? That is the usual practice in your area? FTF "prizes" (I call them "bribes") are very uncommon here in the Twin Cities, and when you do find a cache with one, it is almost certainly from a new hider. I personally don't like the concept except in very rare circumstances (I once had a coupon for a free carwash in a cache that required driving over a very muddy road to get FTF). Don't worry about it... those FTF hounds will climb over each other to get to your cache for no more than an empty log. ok, i usually leave my signature cactus guitar pick and a few foreign coins. and i'm gonna just continue to do the same

I seriously haven't intentionally gone after an FTF in at least 5 years. I took the prize (which was sealed in an envelope, but turned out to be an unactivated TB tag). I figured it would be totally rude to leave it there. I mean it's labeled "FTF" on it, and I was indeed the FTF, I suppose. The whole FTF prize thing is relatively rare in my area as well. Now that I think of it, they do tend to be posted more often by newer hiders. if you'd rather not keep the TB, i'd be more than happy to send it on it's way
  21. If you're FTF on one of my caches or events you can have one of these for free: I know of nothing worth giving as a prize that's free. I sometimes use party favor 1st prize necklaces that are very inexpensive. Like 6 for a buck..... ok where can one get the FTF penny?
  22. I have an idea, just fork out the $10 and this thread is not needed. I feel the 'HAVE YOU SEEN THE ECOMOMY!!!!!!!' comming, but come on, i spend more on junk at wally world than i did on my PM. I do also realize that money is hard to come by, for some, but this is my 2¢
  23. Ok, question, i've read numerous cache pages and seen where people say 'i left a suprise for the FTF' any ideas? I'm looking for items that are free and cost something.
  24. bittsen's "don't pet the sweaty things" love it! lol
