  1. happens to me all the time. Right click the details window and select "Clear window" or whatever it says. Should speed up again till the cache fills up again. I have to clear the screen about 30 times or so to get it to finish in any sort of a timely manner myself.
  2. I'm using 3.6 currenlty as well... I didn't see anything in 3.7 worth upgrading to and it looks like it's mostly just a fix for a specific bug that i've never encountered.

I carry mine with me all the time when GC'ing... but use it mostly to not have to yell at any companions out in the field.. haven't actually run across any geocachers using it yet.

    Edmonton

Import a few chinooks so we don't have to cache in -20 all the time I missed out on my chance last week to get some caching done while it was nice out but i'm still around and will be much more active come spring. I'm a big wussy and hate the cold. Once I get a better feel for it I plan on placing a few Caches as well. So the scene in Edmonton is growing, but slowly.. I think talking to A-Channel and seeing if the big breakfast would want to do a spot on it might be a good idea.
  5. One thing you might want to try is to make sure that nothing else is using the com port you've selected as well.... Do you have any other serial devices on the computer? Palm pilot, mouse that sorta thing? Also make sure that the Legend is set to GARMIN in the data selection screen. I recently set up a new Legend on my laptop and it worked with that setup but Easy GPS can't talk to to the Legend if I have it set to something other than GARMIN (which I found out after changing the setting to get it to talk to MS Streets and Trips )
  6. http://edition.cnn.com/CNNI/Programs/techwatch/ Nothing groundbreaking but I thought it was cool to see it on CNN.
  7. Making an assumption here, that you're using Internet Explorer go back to the site with the link to the brochure. RIGHT click the link, then select "Save as" That should save it to your PC.
  8. Umm the one on Ft. Road and the one near Kingsway mall. Picked it up from the one in Kingsway. Ended up taking their last (display model) one but saved myself $90 in the process.
  9. I'm pretty new here but have been following this story with interest. I have to say i'm very glad that this most recent article took a much more geocaching friendly view than most of the previous ones i've read. Being from Canada the terrorist paranoia isn't anywhere near as prevalent but I do definately agree with the last line in that article. It's a sad time when we curtail such enjoyable and wholesome hobbies as geocaching as a result of "what might happen" My heart definately goes out to the poor cacher who got caught up in all this. For what it's worth I hope nothing else bad comes of it.
  10. I had two different Canadian Tire stores here in Edmonton offer to match a price on a Garmin eTrex Legend from GPSCentral. Picked it up yesterday
