Why don't you make one coin with raised metal and the other one recessed? I also wouldn't make too many details. I think it's more distracting than nice.. Better less little images and use the space for bigger ones.

I do it like AtlantaGal: The travelling coins are activated, the ones that I keep are not. I don't like having a lot of items in my 'trackable'-profile that state 'in the hands of owner', possibly 'travelled: 0 km'.

Uff, difficult to say.. Sometimes I think 1,75" (45mm?) are the most popular. But that could also depend on the person's collection If you use this foam, how many pages can you use in a folder before it is full/too thick?
