OMG. The Zork series STILL is my favorite game. All my family members call me a waste of a graphics card. I also feel your pain with the DNF's. There is one that is less than a mile from our house and I SWEAR I can hear the thing giggling at me every time I drive by the area. I've been up there FIVE times and nothing. People before and after have logged "got it right away" "too easy" and all that. I think they just taped a micro to the back of a gila monster and it takes off when it sees me.

I'd love to adopt if there's one in need.

Well the one time we were asked was after me, my husband, my mom and my 4 kids spent 20 minutes doing the drunken bee dance around a parking lot, then went in a straight line for about 50 feet in a mama-duck-with-with-ducklings style formation and then back to the drunken bee thing again near the basketball field, finally to clump around a single sad bush. All we could do was tell the truth! I'm sure they assumed we were lying ANYWAYS. I am NEVER letting the 9 year old man the GPS AGAIN! At least if I want to even PRETEND I'm sneaky.

Die Hard and The Ref (my husband SWEARS they're Christmas movies)

As a newbie (I've been saying that a lot recently) I've been VERY attracted to the geocoins, but there's a lot of people saying that they get lost/stolen from caches and aren't worth sending out as trackables. A lot of people's attitude around them say they're a waste of your money. And who wants to waste money? All that makes me hesitant in just starting a collection of coins just for a collections sake. Though that didn't stop me from buying my first one this morning...just made me pause a lot longer and think about WHY I was purchasing it.

I know as a newbie I'm kind of treading in dangerous waters here. But what's SO BAD about a cache being archived. Especially if they're too "expensive" to maintain for you at the moment? Doesn't that just open an opportunity for a NEW cache to be placed in the area and maybe someone new to the hobby to have a chance to contribute too? And when your situation improves, what stops you from making new caches or un-archiving the old ones?

I have just started this little hobby, but I have to say I'm already in love with the blooddrops and the pony coins!

I've just started this hobby this weekend, so I've got a newbie question..where do you buy the geocoins? and how do you get the customized ones with team names and such?

Our family just found this hobby this weekend. So far everyone has made a find...except me Those kids have sharp eyes man! Now why can't they find thier shoes in the morning?
