[Garmin Oregon 300]

I understand Garmin maps are expensive to purchase. What maps come with this unit?

Sounds great but I have a few questions. How long ago was this purchased? Is it still under it's one year warranty? What maps are with it? What's included in the box? What is the service fees to use the Spot Communicator?

Although I have been a member for awhile, I'm just now seriously looking at purchasing my first handheld gps. One of the issues I have seen mentioned about the Garmin models is the number maps that is needed and cost is usually around $100 each. Is there a way around all that. Also is this the current model being sold in stores and how old is it.
