  1. Hey fellow Hoosier cachers! Monday afternoon I introduced a friend of mine that works for a local weekly newspaper to the wonderful world of Geocaching. Well, I guess she’s now going to do an article on caching for the paper soon. I was wondering if anyone around the North Manchester area would be interested in being interviewed for it. If there is anyone interested just send me an email or PM. Thanks, Wishbone86 ~ Newly returned to Caching in Indiana
  2. Yes Thanks to all the veterans out there. It wasn't really until I started finding and hiding Indiana Spirit Quest caches that I learned what some have given. I'll always be grateful to all....
  3. Well, I guess there was one cow that was mad since they couldn't sign the log. At least the present wasn't fresh....
  4. Patrick... Was the camo used to cover up Indiana Spirit Quest #384 your idea or Lead Dog's....I need to know who to thank for the pleasue I had today. I can't wait to read the logs after other people find it....
  5. Yeah you're correct. Looks like someone might have made a mistake.
  6. OK I have a quiz for the fans of the GEOISQ... While working on a new Spirit Quest I found this... David Graft died in July 1854...What is wrong with this picture?
  7. Well shoot....Looks like I'll have to find it when I go down for the next game in November....
  8. Well SWEET!!! Will it be up by tomorrow? I'm going to Muncie tomorrow for the Ball State homecoming football game and I'd be more than willing to make a special stop.
  9. Thanks for the Welcome. Hopefully I'll be able to throw a few more weighted film canisters out the window this next week. I practiced and practiced for my first one and now my arm is overly sore. I was just wondering how long the soreness in my arm should last?
  10. I was thinking about heading down to the Salamonie area on Saturday. I could spend all day there looking for caches and still not find them all. I'd think it'd take a couple all day trips to get them all. But, I think I'll be going down to Muncie for the BSU football game instead. I might pick up a couple caches that are near the campus before the game. One another note. I did hide my first cache today near an old iron bridge here in Miami County. I just need to do the write up though. It might be a few more days until I'll be able to get that done.
  11. I bought an eTrex Legend about four weeks ago when I first started caching. It works like a charm and had no intentions on replacing it. But, just this last Saturday I found a Ique 3600 that was on clearance for $109 and couldn't pass it up. The legend I'll use for the long treks into the forest and the 3600 for those stop and grabs.
  12. Saturday I bought a IQue 3600 that was on clearance for $109 where I work. I just couldn't pass that up Today was the first time taking it out in the field using Cachemate and I was impressed. The only problem I had today was I forgot to take the charger with me and the battery ran down pretty quickly and I had to cut my trip short...
  13. When I saw the price jump from $2.55 to $2.79 here in South Bend yesterday I wasn't too happy, but when I heard that this morning it had gone to $3.49 at several stations around town I was mortified. This is getting to be pretty serious stuff! Yesterday I saw gas prices jump from $2.68 to $2.78 in Rochester while I was at work. Now I'm scared to even look now what the prices at up to . I was planning on a big caching trip for Labor Day but I might have just to cut way back on my Caching overall.
  14. Thanks for the Welcome.... Sixdog Team - I think I'll start hiding caches in Northern Miami and Fulton Counties to begin with. Hardly any have been hidden up this way. Thanks to everyone that gave ideas of ways to help Spike get over his fears of Cars. I'm going to have to try some here real soon. Here's a Picture of the little guy....He's a little over 2 years old now and he loves to dig holes trying to get to moles....and coming inside smelling like he's been playing with Pigs....
  15. Just thought I'd say hello to everyone here. I'm a recently started geocaching a little over 3 weeks ago and I am hopelessly addicted now. Just yesterday I reached the 50 find mark. Geocaching seems to be right up my alley since I recently graduated from Ball State with a BS in Geography. And, hopefully soon I'll be placing my first cache out in the wild. (I've been eying a few places lately. ) To bad all this talk about Geodogs kind of makes me wish my buddy Spike would come with me. But, unfortunately, he's scared to death of car rides. I believe he thinks he's going on a trip to the vet. And, to the fine folks behind the ISQ caches. Thank You!! I've really enjoyed each and every one that I've hunted. I even can't wait until the next time I have a day off from work to go out again and find some more. Wishbone86
