Immediately as I started signing the log for an urban cache, I saw the officer headed my way. Apparently he thought I had been snooping around on private property (I hadn't, the cache was just really close to an 8' fence which I now assume surrounds private property).
Anyways, he'd never heard of geocaching (of course) and proceeded to tell me that in in the state of SC, if I'm on private property the owner can shoot me in the leg a dozen times without warning or consequence. He also told me that I should notify the other 'players' of this 'internet game' of this fact. Good grief.
I took the cache with me and brought it back a few hours later so he wouldn't muggle it.
