  1. That is kind of a bummer. With the DVD mapsource maps, you can load them onto a PC and then onto your GPSr. You then can use your PC maps as a tool to plan your caching. You would think that you could do the same in reverse with the SD maps. Can you move the SD chip from one GPS to another GPS? I didn't see a key number on the packaging. It looks very limiting with a SD chip. Thanks for your reply.

  2. I just recieved my new 2009 CN NA update. I tried to install on my computer and at the end it stated that my unit was not edgible for the program. I have a registered version of CN NA 2008.

    Edgible? Do you mean eligible?

What are you calling "at the end?" End of the install (loading on your computer), or were you trying to unlock the maps?

Is there any chance that one of them is NT and the other one isn't?

I mean, it installed for half an hour and never did fully install on the computer. I found that I have a version 8 of City Navigator. Garmin told me I need to get a CN NA 2008 NT , to use the upgrade. I am very frustrated. I have a program in hand that wont work. Guess I will have to work around this one. Am in the process of talking to GPSCITY for a solution.

  4. lI have had the same problem in the past. I do not use the updater. I get and save the version of the update and make a note when I installed it. I updated in Jan and never used it until last week. I was very off on accuracy. I noted the new version that I had installed and tried a reset. Then I did a re-install of the earlier version and it was right on. I have a legend c and a legend cx. The cx was giving me problems. They are right on together. Just install the previous saved version of the update. Hope this helps. PS updater has only the current version on hand.

  5. I have 3 legends that have had the same rubber problem. I used double stick tape, high temperature silicone glue, rubber cement--it disfigured the rubber. The best solution found, and it works is this. Go to your Boy Scout Service Center and ask for a sheet of Badge Magic. Follow the instructions. A sheet can do several gpsrs . The three units i repaired are going on a year. Blue legend, legend c and the legend cx. I have fixed others gps and with great results. No drying time, use it immediatly. Good Luck.

  6. I have a new vista cx. When I go to waypoint from map. I get a little blue pin head on my map page. My triangle goes off screen as I walk along the way. I can go to menu and turn off measuring, but when I click on to waypoint and go for another point, the measuring blue pin head is on my display again. what am I doing wrong? Also when I go to waypoint and bring up my list, I go to menu and want to select find nearest, that opion is not there. On my legend it appears , what gives. A little advice and help goes a long way. thanks.

  7. I stumbled upon a cacher while on the net that has several TBs kidnapped. 8 Jeeps, 1 USA coin and A TB. This person has had them for 6-to a year. His name is gapazz. Check this out. I feel that something needs to be done, but don't know what I can do. Is there a way to check out others that may be hoarding/kidnapping TBs and not moving them along. Thanks for any help

  8. I was hoping this was a for real thing. With the hype and promotion of the jeeps, you would think there would be alot of hoopla over the winner/winners at years end. Not even a banner or notation in geocaching.com. Is is a hoax or for real. Are the promotors , promoting or just getting alot of free advertising. Just wondering. I did a search at jeep and on the net and no final conclussions as to a winner. What is going on??? Just wondering. I like the jeep idea, but what is actually going on at the end. Winner or No Winner??

  9. I have moved some TBs and have noticed the 2004 & 2005 jeep TBs. I know what they are for, but how do they distribute the jeeps. For example, are they doing a 2006 Jeep contest this year. Do I go to a site and purchase the jeeps or what do they do? ALSO Where can I see a list of the winners for 2005? The results of both the Jeep winner and the monthly Garmin Drawing winners? Just wondering. I have done searches on the net for both and haven't come up with any answers. The Jeep site only lets you know the contest is over and answers older questions. Can someone help me out. Thanks

  10. I am getting around to moving TB and have a question. Does Geocaching count bugs that have been picked up twice by the same person, even if it is 6 months later. Also does it add to my number when I have to grab a tb from somewhere else? Does it count the number into the total when I pick up or drop off a TB. Just a couple of questions that I have. Can someone answer these for me. Thanks
  11. I have a legend C that is a great unit. Problem is, the rubber seal around the sides and end of the unit is releasing. I need to get it fixed. Can I do it myself or do I need to send it in to a repair shop. It looks like a 1/2 inch wide rubber band that goes around the whole unit and covers the side push buttons. Help anyone

  12. Mrs and I were caching and heard a beep coming from nowhere. We checked out ipod, gpsr and pockets to see what was causing the strange beep. We were 10 feet from cache and looked down and found a cell phone. I looked at address book in cell and realized it was my new caching neighbor. I call from phone and wife answered with surprize. Hubby had been looking for days for phone. What was I doing with his phone. Did your hubby go caching lately??? YES, well then that is your answer. I got a FTF for a cell phone. I did find the cache with a bonus. Isn't caching a great adventure!!!
