  1. Do you want a GPS with maps or with an arrow pointing the shortest way to destination? One with maps will show roads/paths so you can see where to go/not go - One with arrow could point 2 mile away across private land/swamp/gun range.
  2. Try this www.geotrailing.com and you will find FREE trails (multicaches) to download. [ I do not have any connection with this company ]
  3. As rusty tic kindly pointed out "Check the caps lock on your key board. Re-post you message and I might be able to decipher what you are talking about. Sorry I'm not trying to be mean but I just can't read your post." This is not being EGOTISTICLE its about trying to understand your point, maybe agreeing with you, maybe not. Yes, in this game there are some people who are in it just for the numbers. They never log a dnf as that would "look bad". There are people who dont care about the numbers and just like to "get out & about". If you havn't found that perfect place for your cache, dont worry, its out there somewhere.
  4. Could the hoarders get a dogtag from the army surplus store to fasten to the Walmart jeep? Or would this be too much trouble for them?
  5. 1: Like the bold text for "DO NOT KEEP ME!". 2: Don't like 2 sizes (regular/micro), keep the 1 size. 3: Like the idea of colored tags. Could you do "normal" tags at one price and "delux" tags at a *slightly* higher price? :- "delux" = colored. 4: Like the option of getting a COPY tag as it has the tag# and if Groundspeak's database ever has a problem (hope not) you might lose your tag#. With my COPY tag I have proof that x-x-x-x is my number to re-register the bug when the database is back up & running. Thanks for the chance of adding some input into the design of the new tags. xyzzy420
  6. Feel free to re-visit a cache to collect that TB but before you do, please check if the bug has any goals and, if so, can you help towards that goal. Some TB's want to stay in the local area and some want to head to a certain location by xxx month in xxx year. I would say that if you can help the bug towards it's goal then get that bug NOW, as in, put down your coffee, grab your Geo-backpack and head out the door. This is just my opinion and does not imply the opinion of any organisation i may/may not work for.
  7. I use this method: Go to the profile of a local cacher and click on the "User Stats" tab. Click on "(All Cache Hides)" You now have a list of all the caches owned by that person/group and hopefully there is 1 (or more) that is blank under the Last Found column. Click on the name of that cache and ZOOM!!! there is the cache page.
  8. Just wondering if a @geocaching.com e-mail address would be possible for premium members. If I was offered xyzzy420@geocaching.com (as an example) it would certainly persuade me to upgrade. Please don't get too techie about web servers etc in any replies as that stuff goes over my head. What does everyone think, would you go for this feature?
