  1. I am using a garmin oregon 450 and I use Windows (whatever the latest version is)
  2. Okay I finally built my first pocket querie. (not sure why I didn't do this before) When I click my querie to add it to my gps a window pops up asking me so run or save the file to my computer. I do this, then try to open the file on my computer and it doesn't work. I followed the help video step by step and I can't seem to get that simple transfer window to pop up at the very end. What am I doing wrong? Cheers, Minew
  3. Ah I figured it out.... Here is Meeko! Now I just have to figure out resizing lol sory it's so big
  4. My geodogs name is Meeko and although her and I just started caching early this year she has provided fun and entertainment! She's great company. She's 3/4 Border Terrier and 1/4 Border Collie! At 8 years young she is a fireball of energy. I take her on the trails all the time so geocaching and her were a perfect match since the city I live in has caches all over the trails! She's even sniffed out a few for me! I love her to pieces! I would post a picture of her but I'm slightly challenged when it comes to that type of stuff.... She somewhat resembles Benji! P.S. Braxton and Schmoopee are adorable!
  5. I've only been at this for a month but it's been burrs, burrs and more burrs! My dog gets covered with them too... Since it's winter time, I've started putting a little dog jacket on her which is great because now she only gets them on her legs and face! Much easier to clean!
  6. Hi there.... I feel silly for asking this question but when you come across a cache that has either a bug or a coin in it does the take something leave something etiquiette come into play here? And if so, as a newbie does that mean I need to go buy a tb/tc *since it has to be of equal or greater value* in order to take one from a cache? Or can you just take them to place in someone elses cache to help it reach its goal? Thanks, Minew
  7. Hey guys! I'm still new to this! I've only found 2 so far! When I do find the caches though, how do I mark them as found on my GPS? I have a Garmin Etrex Legend HCx. The instuction booklet makes it sound as thought the GPS automatically changes it to found. Any way I'd appreciate the help! Thanks in advance! Minew
  8. Hey guys! I'm new to Geocaching! Can't wait to get started! I just ordered a Garmin eTrex Legend HCx. I should receive it next week! I have never done this before and I can't wait to get into it! I am from Ontario and it just snowed a bit here, so I have a feeling that might make things a bit difficult but I was just wondering if any of you can offer some tips and tricks with Geocaching for a beginner!? Thanks a bunch! Cheers, K
