  1. BTW, how long did it take to receive the TB after signing up?
  2. My "Mountain Top" TB has spent quite a bit of time checking out the "hills" of Colorado.
  3. My TB has been stuck in this cache for over a year. It is a rarely visited cache and if the travel bug is still there, it must have cob webs. If you are in the area of that cache, I'd appreciate a rescue mission.
  4. Or the SHIFT key to select all between 1st and last desired.
  5. While I'm not nearly the most prolific cacher, I usually leave something without taking anything. I'm sure I'm not the only one either. So, I don't see a problem with someone taking something without leaving, provided it isn't habitual.
  6. It's about time that Groundspeak come up with at Hall of Fame for things like this. How bout it Jeremy?
  7. Pretty good idea. Just hope it doesn't end up in a rarely visited cache like mine did. I made my wooden nickel into a TB and it's been stuck (or missing) in this cache for ages.
  8. I too have had travellers scoffed by one-cache-wonders. All you can do is hope you're lucky. I waited over a year before I decided to recycle the number.
  9. Seems like a good idea to have a contact that could check gc.com to see if there's a cache there. Of course it isn't foolproof. Even if it isn't listed, it could be a cache and either not published yet or listed somewhere else. Good communication can't hurt, eh?
  10. From Hee Haw: "Where o' where are you tonight? Why did you leave me here all alone? I searched the world over and thought I found true love.... You met another and pfffttttttt, you was gone........." Those under 40, ask your folks!
  11. I for one would like to see webcam caches back at gc.com. It's one of the more handicap friendly type of "cache". I cannot stand Waymarking.com. The format stinks. I know it isn't going to happen, but I figured I'd give my 2 cents.
  12. I use Dreamweaver to write my descriptions and then paste the HTML in the box. Be sure to check off the HTML button.
  13. I have the cheap throw-away cameras in a few of my caches. Some finders take pictures, some don't. I find that some want to take a picture of their "cache puppy", some their kids. How can they do that with your set up? When the camera is exhausted, I go and have "negatives only" processing and I go home and scan the negatives to post online. Much cheaper than getting prints or cd's. (unless you don't have a scanner). Something to consider.
  14. I get a lot of good feedback on the puzzle caches I've created. Personally, I don't choose to solve other puzzle caches. I find though that these puzzles add challenges to finding caches. Not everyone has the same physical abilities to do 5-star terrains. So this is an alternative. As with traditional caches, puzzle caches can be lame or be very creative. To each his own. Don't let it bother you.
  15. I'm now carrying my cache bag which contains my wooden nickels, light, pen, leatherman, stamp (for the log), PDA, phone and any TBs. Along with that, I wear a Tamrac Velocity 7 camera bag for my SLR and lenses. Both bags wear comfortably. I carry a walking stick as well. I try to get some good photos while out in the woods. Finding the cache is the bonus of the trek.
  16. Here's a real Jeep. All others are just vague replicas.
  17. Found mine on ebay. Search geocache.
  18. It worked when I first tried it last week. In my case, it placed the info in my iCal (OSX). Now it brings up a "server error" type page. It's been doing that the last few days now.
  19. We'll Never Forget 9/11 #15 was published yesterday.
