I have noticed that the magnetic field within my vehical will mess with the compass in my 60csx and I will have to callibrate quite often, this could add to your problem too, but to keep from a calibration fail try slowing down your turning when you calibrate the unit.

Sounds like your trying to re-invent the wheel here
I used this one for a while with my etrex etrex mount
I know have a 60Csx and use this set up Mount with a friction mount bean bag and i have been very happy with it
Power cords also save tons of batteries too

I miss the old maps too, to be able to look up old archived caches that are nothing more than trash in the woods was very nice. Would it be possible to add the archive cache feature to the google maps? Not that i particular like the the google map they take forever to load because there is so much infomation, Some times simple is better, Please reconsider the old maps again?

Mapsource and a Garmin 60cs thats all you need. combine that with Cachemate you don need anything else but a pen

That is one of the thing available once you become a preimum member, you can requesta pocket query of all cache finds.

I supose that this has been asked before but ive got to ask it again.
As a premium member we can have 5 pocket queries sent to a day with a maximum of 500 caches per query. I wonder why is it that we can not just ask for upto 2500 caches per day .
For example: Since I rarely can make up my mind where i am going to go from day to day, I have 3 queries sent to me for 500, each from 3 different zip codes surrounding my area, why is it that i cant have the closest 1500 sent in one query?

I have noticed that after having it on the dash board of my car in between caches, I will need to recalibrate it when i get out. Having a lot of electrical equiptment around will throw it out of wack too

I wouldnt hide it, most dont know what your up to anyways. if they ask tell them what your up to. I think most people are walking around with all sorts of electronic today, whether they are ipods, cellphones or palmplots no one is going to notice. if they do they will ask.

Only problems i have had where due to the vibrations from my quad and motorcycles, If the units were under battery power they would shut down, both my Etrex and my 60CS
I solved the problem by hardwiring them to the battery on the bike. they work fantastic now.

Trying to head off what I see as a dispute coming.
Sorry, I was not trying to start a dispute, I Just did not beleive it is possible for an individual, cache density is not that heavy around here to do that.

Ill conseed then she is a super human cacher, i look back and see that there are many days when there are over 20 - 25 finds in one day. and in multiple states, yes they are near each other but they got to sleep some time, not to mention on Aug 1 she made 43 finds in one day !!

I think that would be the most find by a team. i dont believe that a single individual has made all those finds.
