It has been reversed. Caches with no container are now called Earthcaches. You just need to educate folks in earth science when you place them.

Is there a justified Geocaching brochure anywhere?
wesleykey replied to Knight2000's topic in General geocaching topics
It's funny to see all this drivel and no one has an answer for the OP about a MS Word copy of a caching brochure. Personally, I carried a brochure for a long time in my pack put never showed it to anyone. I explain what I need to when I need to and don't worry about it otherwise. -
In Huntsville Alabama we have tons of engineers working for NASA, etc. There are ZERO Wherigo caches within 50 miles. We are interested in finding a cache, not buying more gear.

Come on down! We have some awesome caches, and you can see them now before all the snakes start showing up....

WTB: Dell AXIM for PAPERLESS Caching
wesleykey replied to afcachersmom's topic in GPS technology and devices
Does it have the sync cradle too? And works good? Bluetooth? I can't seem to make a reply stick because my network is so bogged. Trying one more time. I have USB cable, BlueTooth is built in, no issues I know of at all. PM me if interested as I may not get a notification you have replied for quite some time. -

Hi, Hello, and all the above from BIRMINGHAM!
wesleykey replied to Wesley1117's topic in South and Southeast
I have upgraded to the Colorado also and expect mine soon. Take some time and enjoy caching before you spend too much time in the forums. There are a lot of biased folk on here. You're better off to get out for a few months and see what you like or dislike before someone else tries to make a "micro cache hater" or whatever out of you. Welcome to Geocaching. I've been doing it almost 5 years now and love every minute of it. -
WTB: Dell AXIM for PAPERLESS Caching

Dell Axim X30. Only program I ever use is CacheMate but it has the Windows stuff and is WiFi capable. Leather case, good battery, cable, stylus, SD card. $80 sound fair? -
I have the 60Cx. Will that be sufficient?

Why? You can't readily run out and find them all. I only PQ the area I plan to be in week by week and never keep old data in GSAK or my GPS.

I created a Gmail account to get around this, but hate checking two personal accounts. I wish this could be fixed.

You need to finish editing, save, then preview the cache page.

Are there any Magellan GPS user Geocaching clubs?
wesleykey replied to wildkat12's topic in General geocaching topics
Yes, but since they are Magellan users they are all lost.... -
Awesome work. Can you nudge the red tiles up against each other so the gaps are smaller or nonexistent? Otherwise I think you are on to something really cool there.

You might try hosting an event in your area to promote interest in your new organization.

If there is another cache within a couple miles you might ask the owner of that cache to help you out.

I had no issues driving a rental across the border back last September. Bring passport or copy of birth certificate to get back, though.

I think he has been around there, at least in the Huntsville area, according to some cache logs I saw. Maybe he's trying to hitch a ride to the moon, or even Mars! Yep. I wonder if the devil will influence a local cacher to sell one??
