  1. Ione! That's not even close to Ripon! So now I'll have more room to place my caches. Thanks, Amy. Ref: Picnic Place and Mini Tupperware. Ione!! That's a fun town.... I spent 4 years there back in the mid 70's. Lived next door to the big red building on the hill. I look forward to going back for a visit. Alan, so did you live there on your own free will? LOL LOL LOL LOL! Did you work for CYA or CDF?
  2. Ione! That's not even close to Ripon! So now I'll have more room to place my caches. Thanks, Amy. Ref: Picnic Place and Mini Tupperware. well, there's only 2 non-virtual caches in Ione. and there are at least 20 here in Ripon. I plan to place at least 2 more here in town but since we're moving, thats it.
  3. I don't know whether to laugh or cry ... It did make me chuckle a bit. well, clearpath, she would have thought it funny. She was a different one. But we did her good and put her in a beautiful place.
  4. we were going to dribble my grandma through the casinos in Reno. But then I realzed she' just be vaccuumed up and deposited in the Washoe County Landfill.
  5. Do you really think the ashes in an unmarked sealed box in a state park is an appropriate resting place? If a geocacher hadn't found it, who would have? You would think if the parents wanted to place the baby there they would have scattered the ashes and not left the box intact. very strange indeed. Did the cache have markings on the outside or was it like almost all that I have found not marked on the outside but a card inside identifying it? While it may have not been the appropiate way to disburse ashes grieving parents may have been thinking as clearly as they usually do. I found the empty box of someones remains discarded in the brush as trash but what are you supposed to do with them? Throwing it in the garbage seems so disrespectfull. I thought about using the box as a cache container and several cachers said that was cool and to do it. But it still sits on a shelf as I haven't been able to get myself to use this container for such a purpose even after 6 months has passed. true, the parents may not have been thinking clearly. Thankfully somebody found the ashes and can and will probably follow through with restoring them.

  7. BILL! I'm SUPRISED at you! now that is a VERY assuming answer. now think. WHERE ELSE COULD THEY BE? (laugh laugh laugh laugh)
  8. But none in Mountain House. This is your last warning.... In working with Marky on the most recent GeoROCKs "puzzle" cache (it's not really a puzzle; it's a power trip) I have come up with some truly evil ideas. Evil, evil ideas. BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAA!!! Fizzy there is no way I can outdo you--but I am planning a very very very evil puzzle you will have to admit your weakness! It will be called MARTHA STEWART truly my area of expertise. and you may be able to solve the puzzle but you will likely need help or admit your vulnerability. (at least I hope.....HA HA)
  9. well it says there is something there to find. Does it matter what condition the cache is in. good condition or not it rates a smilie. and likely a temporary problem.
  10. of the very few times I have found something that needs maintenance, I posted a find or dnf and emailed them.

  14. wow. There are some smart cookies out there. Fizzy thanks for sharing.
  15. and I'm already planning a puzzle of my own, payback is a *you know what*
  16. I really suck at puzzles, in fact, I had no idea there are a great variety of them. Can you guys list the different general types of puzzles you've solved, so when I see one, I would know how to work on solving it?
  17. I was just pointing out many of the items are covered in the book. Its not pointless to work on the Code...carry on.
  18. I have not updated my home coordinates. I posted coordinates once in our local thread which were incorrect. I was afraid if I update my coordinates on my cache page that others would be able to come to my front door. But I'm also missing out on new caches. so, does it pose a personal security risk if I update them?
