  1. Once I downloaded the app my GPS on my phone would not turn off. Of course this drains my battery and I even tried to force close using advanced task killer and it would not turn off - any help?
  2. I think many are Master crazy and went to get to Platinum and just relax. In the meantime though they must post 3, and rush to put them in as many rapid places as possible - the next waterfall or spring they see, etc. This though has lead to the realization of many frequent EarthCachers that these aren't very informative and just teach you what the last waterfall EarthCache taught you. Some reviewers are just too lenient. Those are just my observations
  3. well considering the only N/A log on this cache was by a reviewer.... To me, the distasteful part of this is the rapid turnaround the NA log received; the next day. So little effort given by the local reviewer to alert the CO to mend their ways and clean up the cache page. Is 24 hours the new standard? That being said, if you're a CO, at least log in every now and then. Absolutely agreed the review outright put the CO to public shame instead of private messaging the CO about the rule regarding this issue. Threatening to archive too in that last disable just made the situation out of hand.
  4. bump would like to know as well as the owner does not mention anything about where the trail is/etc
  5. Will be taking a Amtrak from NYC which is only 6 hours, a bus would be too much. Signed up for the email update. Would like to start looking at hotels if there is plan of multiple day events - please keep us updated. Thanks and am excited for this
  6. Ok although this isn't a New Development (since it hasn't been developed yet obviously)...it should definately be one... If you just have a GPS (no smartphone/iPhone) but want to GeoCache to a spot where you forgot to download some caches, it should instantly pop-up. Like every cache not just like the GeoMate Jr. or whatever that shows you like 7 out of 10 caches...every single one. No more downloading at all for GeoCaching, just simply have Garmin have a system on GPSrs where you can freely upload caches using internet, and even log your visit look at the clue if you need, etc. That would make all those caches I missed from not downloading or looking on the computer for caches in the area I was heading - count.
