Okay.....when I enter may master coupon code it tells me....."This Master Coupon Code does not contain any Garmin units that currently have MapSource updates available. Garmin's Automotive MapSource applications are generally updated annually and the Bluechart software is updated twice a year. Please check back periodically to see if MapSource updates are available for your Garmin unit. Click here to return to the Master Coupon Code entry screen. :

Got my RAM mount today, however they sent me the one with the 4" suction cup. I checked gpsonsale's web site and I see they have removed the mount with the 3" cup. I guess they had sold out and shipped me this one instead. No biggie.
However, anyone else have a little difficulty getting their GPS out of the cradle?? I know it goes in bottom first, thenn the top snaps into place. But trying to get it out takes a little work. I'm almost tempted to file or sand down the little tip inside the hole a little bit to see if that helps any.
Anyone else have this issue?

When using your PC to do routes, you pick the starting point then add way points on the roads to want to take. Think of it as laying bread crumbs.

The GPSmap 60CSx comes with a 64mb MicroSD card, so you can put as many maps on that as it will hold. The 64mb might be enough. I have a 1gig card in mine, but only have about 1/3rd of PA on it. If I ever plan on going somewhere outside that, I'll download the appropriate maps.
I see no reason for me to have the western US on my GPS when I have no immediate plans to travel there. But, some people just want the whole US on their GPS and will buy a 2gig card.
To each his own.

You don't have a Garmin GPS.

I don't know but it seems to last a long time.
Last year I bought a m515 off of eBay and after a while it didn't seem to last very long. I figured the battery was going, so I ordered a replacement. Well, I could see the previous owner boogered up one of the four tiny screws that hold the cover on. So the battery was going and the owner boogered a screw.
I got the screw out and replaced the battery, now it runs for what seems like forever.

You can buy an adapter cable from places like Wal-Mart to use with the Legend. Costs something like $20 or so.

Are you looking for the GCxxxxx name??
When I send a cache to my GPS it is listed under the above, not the "name" of the cache.
I also have a 60CSx and run Vista on my laptop.
-
I got mine from www.gpsonsale.com and was very, very happy, both with the price and service. I would definitely buy from them again. Acutally I did, as I purchased a new RAM mount to be used with my GPS 60CSx.

I usually just concentrate on the area where I live, northeastern PA. If I'm going to a different part of the state, or a totally different state I'll run a PQ for the areas where I'll be.
Getting all the caches for your entire state might not be the way to go, your could end up with a million (maybe not) caches.

Yeah, thats the one I originally like the best, but then I saw the other one and wanted to get some opinions.
Keep it safe brother.

Thinking of moving up to a RAM mount for my 60CSx and was looking at these two. Is one prefered over the other?

What do you mean "not installed"? Unless you save the Topo maps to your hard drive, everytime you want to use the maps you need to put the CD in.

Does anyone know how to make windows Vista work with a Palm? John got a new laptop that has Windows Vista and now we can't load files into cachemate on the PDA because the Palm Desktop software doesn't work with Windows Vista. Are we just out of luck?? tx...
Yup. I have a Palm and it will not work on my HP laptop running Vista. So.....I just load everything onyo my Palm via my desktop which is running XP.

Depends on what part of NEPA you hang your hat in..........

I use Duracell rechargeable 2650 mAh batteries with great success. They last a long time in my 60CSx.
I have heard that some people have problems or issues with the lithium batteries.

Yup, another Maxpedition user here. I'm very happy with it. I went with this in place of a small backpack. I usually swing it around so that the pack rides in or about the small of my back, out of the way.

City Navigator works just fine with Vista.
-
If you Copy the contents of each CD to your hard drive, and then do the installation from that location, you won't have to carry around the CDs.
Here is a thread that talks about it.
Just did it on my laptop.......works like a charm.

I have both, CN and Topo loaded into my 60CSx.

Palm m515 with Cachemate here. Bought off eBay for $20????? Works great.....just wished it worked with Vista.
-
Its not really a problem, but since getting my laptop, I'd like to do everything on one PC. I can live with the way I have to do it now, load the Palm using the desktop and everything else is done via the laptop.
-
Is there such a critter out there. Can't use my Palm m515 on my laptop because it won't work with Vista, which is on my laptop. I can use it on my desktop which is running XP, but I'd like everything to be on one computer.
-
Well..........I don't think they made it out!!! Stumbled upon this one while hunting and checking on one of my cache's.
