  1. Looking to contact the user "Three Lost Guys". Was out today at their All American Cache which shows up as archived ... I was just checking on it since the reports were mixed. It is still there, in great shape and dry ... I took the TB and will send it on its way. I see the cache is archived, and would like to offer to reopen it as I would hate to see it go away, and I would just end up placing something else nearby as I am trying to slowly populate the bike trail area around Ashburn ... If anyone has a good email address, or if Three Lost Guys see this, please let me know ... thanks
  2. Just wanted to say that for me, signing that log is the proof that I succeeded and provides me the satisfaction of a job well done ... I agree there may be exceptions as stated, but I email the owner with the particulars and ask first before I log a find if there is no log present. I have also been known to leave "temporary" cache logs where a cache has obviously been muggled/destroyed so anyone coming along between my find of the lost cache and the replacement has a log to sign and I note this to the owner. Guess that sums up my thoughts which seem to echo most of the sentiment here. cache on ......
  3. Airsafety and I have been talking along with Baja Clan about doing a get together in NOVA area. The problem is none of us have enough time right now to organize and coordinate the effort Will post something when we get our act together ... hopefully sonner than later ...

If caching is not addictive, how come I plan my route to work and client locations based on new cache listings? 662 so far and shooting for 1000 by the end of the year ... but who's counting Almost forgot ... home is Loudoun County VA adn you are more than welcome here too
  5. Got another snake for identification ... I wish I knew more about these critters ... Found this one SE of Richmond last week under an ammo box ... Cache Guard OK, forgot how to insert a picture ... and I did oneearlier [] Must be the old age ...
  6. Just had to comment ... People work very hard to obtain the necessary permissions and place caches in some really awesome places. It is a shame that, like most things in this world, the illegal, unthinking actions of a very small group tend to result in policy and laws that restrict the the actions of the law abiding populace. Just look at some of the efforts to ban caching Statewide in several state's parks ... the reasons given are the actions of a few ... It doesn't take much for land owners to feel threatened and cut off access for everyone. And if I recall, the hours are clearly posted at the gate in this case ... As a note, I agree with the action taken, if the log is edited, I would let it go and hopefully a lesson will be learned ... if not .............
  7. I plan on being there ... this one has been on my to do list for some time now ...
