If nobody audits the log books, why have them?

Will that notify somebody other than the owner?

I keep coming across caches that are missing. The owner has not logged in in about a year. 5 or more people log DNF. What is the next step? Should it be reported someplace??

I was going to post song lyrics as a clue in a cache listing. Then I though how cool it would be if I included a link to the song or the video. Since the player would have to be from youTube or lala.com would that be too commercial?

Oh, I wouldn't do either of those things. So good, my fist theme hide is on it's way.

I was thinking of making my first hide a theme. Anybody can hunt, find and sign the book, but the trinkets must be from a chosen theme. For example; only old coins, or trading cards or key chains. You know. Things people collect. I haven't picked the theme yet. Does this violate any rule I'm not aware of?

Oh of course. I'll bring the Garmin along for my first hide. I'm already planning something fun.

I think I get how they work and are tracked. What I'm not sure about is can you hand make one and somehow generate a trackable number or can they only be bought with a number already on it?

Just started. I was wondering. Am I the only one doing this leaving his GPS at home? The clues and the google map really seems to be all you need. Assuming your not out in the woods of course.
