  1. My (so far only) AL also has a specific location where you have to start. Parking is available only on the opposite side of the river to where the AL is, and there is a pedestrian bridge to cross the river from the parking to the AL. And, no, you cannot access the AL from the other side by walking--there is a railroad yard and at least one fence in the way. ( But I don't really understand what this thread is about.)
  2. Scouts under supervision, maybe, but others have given good options. "Students" -- absolutely not! Many of us make our caches PMO specifically to keep them out of the hands of this age group.
  3. I don't understand how not having features that you're not paying for is a "rip-off."
  4. I have this issue also, using Safari. Shows correctly in Chrome.
  5. Yes, those and a few others, like International Geocaching Day each year.
  6. I'd sure like to be able to do this also.
  7. Thanks for your help. It has been so beastly hot here, and there's no shade to walk in, that it took me a while to want to get back out there. The Adventure is now up and running, waiting for the first finder.
  8. That's a good reason for always deleting all the older files before loading new ones.
  9. Playing with this some more, on three devices--cell phone, tablet and computer--it looks like I can do all the write-ups on the computer or tablet and only really need to use the cell phone on site to get the coordinates and photos. Right??
  10. It doesn't for me. All I get is "My Adventures. 0 Available credits. You have Adventure(s) that are set to Off. Go to the Adventure builder to edit them. Go to builder."
  11. When I try that in Google all I get is "No app found to open link."
  12. I have one AL started the I was planning to finish today. But when I go to Adventure Lab> Profile>My Adventures>Go to builder>Open the Adventure builder in your mobile browser>Open>it just goes back to My Adventures>Go to builder>and all I can do is go back and forth between those two screens. I have logged out and back in. Do I need to delete and reload the app? (App version 1.3.32; build 2995) Or what?
  13. And it starts out by calling geocaching a "treasure hunt."
  14. Thanks. I couldn't find any information regarding that. So I won't worry about it.
  15. What is there to prevent more than one person from creating ALs in the same area? Specifically, I have started making an AL on a new (short--about I km) walking trail. What if someone else wants to make an AL on he same trail?
  16. I often sign logs out of order. In the rare actual logbook, people skip pages, use only half a page, etc. . On the more usual log sheet--often the back of the paper is completely blank, or lines are skipped. I usually use the first blank space I see. Has nothing to do with the effort of turning pages, has everything to do with wasted space.
  17. Are you trying to use more than 3 decimal places?
  18. I just tested this, changing a .046 to .047 without any problems. I suggest trying it again, and if it still doesn't work, contact your reviewer. When changing it, be sure you are using the Update coordinates log under Admin Tools.
  19. Your best source for information on puzzles is the creator of the puzzle. Most COs are happy to give some help.
  20. Of course, like the 14 people before me did.
  21. Sometimes, when "kindness" has been repeatedly ignored, something a little more forceful is called for. I was not mean at all in my NM log, just straight-up factual. The only difference between my log and all the others was that mine was NM.
  22. This brings back to mind a cache that had coordinates that were way off (70 ft and in someone's fenced back yard) which had been commented on (in Found logs) 14 times over two years and completely ignored by the CO. I made my comment in a NM log and started a whole s***storm which culminated in the CO writing me into the cache description as a complainer. The cache started out as an ammo can and has degraded to just a gallon-sized zip lock bag, which may even not be there anymore either.
