  1. There is (or was) a multi cache where the first stage was an actual physical large pieces jigsaw puzzle that you had to put together. Fun--as long as it wasn't raining.
  2. When I did the AL at Chicago O'Hare I got credit for Cook County (I already had 3 caches in another Illinois county)
  3. Got the reviewer's attention; they disabled it and wrote " Disabling to keep it from showing up, cache owner can enable once in place. Thank you.
  4. I did that--another NA!-and the CO responded with another bogus OM.
  5. A lot of talk here about COs not using the OM log. My irk is when COs use the OM log to say. "I'm going to fix the problem." Case in point, a location I pass frequently when traveling where the cache has been missing for 8 months and the CO is doing nothing but posting bogus OM logs.
  6. Just a caution here: that photo is for your own use only and should not be posted.
  7. I use a fishing vest for normal caching. My Owner Maintenance bag is a cheap nylon backpack.
  8. When I sub my name in for crwildwood, it gives me all my finds, not just archived ones.
  9. You will, for sure, want to get a Premium Membership.
  10. It's whether he wants to be an a**hole and hated by other cachers, or whether he wants to play nice. Yes, it's his decision.
  11. I looked through your Finds list from your grand tour around the country last year and saw that when you were in Colorado you didn't find any of my caches, so unfortunately, I can't delete any of your logs to see if you still think that deleting logs is a good idea.
  12. There is also the option to delete Found logs on caches. How would you like it if someone archived their cache and deleted your Found log?
  13. PLEASE DON'T DELETE OLD LOGS!! THOSE LOGS BELONG TO OTHER PEOPLE!!
  14. You have to make a choice. Either use the original tracking number and keep all the existing logs or get a new tracking number.
  15. If you want new "item" get a new tracking number. The existing logs are all part of the existing tracking number, including the history and memories of all the cachers who discovered or moved the original.
  16. Please do not delete legitimate past logs. If I moved your trackable, that log is part of my history as well.
  17. @Moun10Bike: You might take note of the number of upvotes to your comments vs. the number of upvotes to the other opinion and stop being so defensive. Instead--be proactive and get the wording changed.
  18. A lot of my sigs are "out of chronological order" because I usually sign in the first available space. In an actual logbook, if dozens of people have signed using only the first side of the page, I will start using the reverse side of the first page. On a small scroll with multiple pages, if the first side of the pages are used, I will start writing on the reverse. Or if signers have skipped lines somewhere, I will use those blank spaces. I try to always put in dates except on nanos.
  19. Well, some premium members, maybe. I didn't see it. And judging from the comments here, I'm not missing much.
  20. Maxing out the data plan would not explain why "Loading Geocaches" doesn't work but Google map navigation does. Also wouldn't explain repeated occurrence of not working one day but working the next. (Possible explanation for if it happens to be the end of the plan month -- one time, but not again the next week.)
  21. This does nothing to explain the original problem. Btw, this "stadium full of people" is not 50,000+ as you might be thinking, but under 5,000 total, and they were not all fiddling with their phones; many of them were talking to each other, etc. But, thanks for the info re voice calls vs data, that my voice call was irrelevant to my data issue, so a better test would be one data source vs another data source, such as Geocaches, vs Google maps, as I used in my original post.
  22. Well, there's got to be something else going on. Last weekend, Saturday afternoon, sitting in an open air stadium, under a clear blue sky, waiting for a football game to start, I tried Loading Geocaches, and again nothing would load. (Yes, there are geocaches in the area.) Tried again at half-time, still no success, but I did have enough cell coverage to make a call . This location was about 40 miles from where I was the week before. Now, at home, no problem. Other ideas?
