  1. I tend to start with www.weather.co.uk, and if I don't like what they're telling me, I look somewhere else, until I find one that I like the look of the forecast on.
  2. I thought it was Forum Fight Club first and Tupperware hunting second.
  3. Agreed. If I want to buy something, it wouldn't really occur to me to look in Bloomingdales.
  4. Does your other half think you're sad for Geocaching? I think my OH just thinks I'm sad
  5. I guess I should point out that you need to be a Premium Member to get access to the GPX files, via pocket queries. Only problem is that in light of recent events, ponying up to GS seems to be a bit unpopular ATM! Richard
  6. I've got a Nokia N70 and run SmartGPX on it to give me a basic interface for the GPX file that lives on the memory card. Richard
  7. Just logged on and read this. What a very sad day for caching in the UK, not to lose one reviewer/mod, but two. No doubt you both not made this decision lightly. Still, more time to go outside caching now. Many thanks both Peter and Dave for your speedy reviewing over the years, and for very wise and considered comments both on the forums and privately Richard.
  8. OK, a music round. Who had a hit with 'Halfway down the stairs'?
  9. Right, in that case, it was an Airspeed Oxford. And no I'd never heard of it, but Dad knew immediately. Richard
  10. I know that Googling is not allowed, but is asking someone who does know allowed?? Just that I asked my Dad earlier and he knew immediately, and was surprised I didn't. Richard
  11. She was flying from Blackpool to RAF Kidlington, and bailed out into the Thames Estuary, in which she drowned. Her would be rescuer died in his attempt to rescue her. I cannot remember the type of aircraft. Richard
  12. Addiction, is, I think the word. Welcome to the world of being out whatever the weather, just to get the next fix. Strange that a little plastic box hidden somewhere can cause so much excitement. Richard and Family
  13. OK, to keep it moving, What was the name of the song Cliff Richard sang with The Young Ones for 1986's Comic Relief? Richard
  14. 2 Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan 3 Greece 5 Kuwait 7 Mongolia ?? Can't spell!!
  15. No, but you're closer than you think. Sean and John Lennon?
  16. Afraid not. We're Teasel too.It was only recently that we discovered that we could 'donate a PQ'. Have mailed Teasel direct to offer. But I did crack it last night. If I created a new search and ran that, I got our own data set, and downloaded the files for MM and TomTom. Later I reran the search and up popped Teasels dataset. Just tried running the search again and I'm Teasel. In fact if I run any previous search I'm Teasel, but if I create a new search I'm me. Richard
  17. Tried both domains.... prob still there ... I get Teasels finds / owns... ( on the search function) looks like its something else... Can only echo the above comments. The strange thing is though that the map on my stats page shows up correctly, or so it would appear anyway. It certainly looks about how I would expect. Presumably this must query the same database as the search function? Richard
  18. Something has now changed for us. We were showing as having no found caches and no hidden caches. We now have a situation where we have now apparently hidden and found Teasels caches. Any ideas? RIchard
  19. Ian, Thanks for getting G:UK back up. When we log in, obviously as ourselves, and get it to pull in a list of nearest caches, it doesn't recognise any that we've already found, or that we own. The nearest cache to here is one of ours, and it shows up correctly with date last found etc, but is quite insistent that we neither own it, nor have found it. If we remove not found we have no caches in the list. Is this something that will rectify itself once the back end has updated from GC.com a couple of times? Thanks Richard
