I agree, although I don't know this cacher, since he has the media attention he and his attitudes will be viewed as the norm for Geocachers and Geocaching, and this hits home for me right now. My group, Geocaching Hampton Roads, is dealing with a situation with the city of Hampton parks and rec. people. Recently the city enacted a very restrictive policy regarding geocaching in its parks, without contacting any of the local geocachers. I believe (IMHO) this policy was due to recent bad press geocachers have been receiving in other parts of the country. Our group has a very good relation with several of the local municipal park autrhorities, and until recently we thought this good will existed in Hampoton as well. We as a group are very active in trying to maintain a positive image for Geocachers and Geocaching in Virginia, but idiots like this guy spouting off and grandstanding over his STATS really make a lasting impression on the public, especially when the media picks up on it, and single handedly destroy what ever good reputation has been built by the majority of conscientious cachers with the public.

Okay being new to the forums, I kind of goofed this one up. These coins are not for sale, I made a small production run of 50 each for myself and my military caching buddies. I will be able to trade some, but as they are not GC trackable I will not be selling any here. If I get enough interest, I was thinking about making a trackable version, that I could sell here, so what does everyone think?

I hadn't really thought about it, I made it more for myself and all my military caching buddies. My first production run is only 100 coins (50 silver and 50 gold). If there is enough interest, I could use it for a USO fundraiser. What does everyone think?
