  1. I'm 21, my two most common caching buddies are 20 and 25
  2. I saw that movie a few months ago, no scenes about caching, unfortunately, but a great movie just the same, I highly recommend it.
  3. I have a Garmin etrex Venture HC, will it warn me if I accidentally try to load multiple instances of the same waypoint?
  4. My favorites take me out away from cities, like on some logging roads and then a bit of a hike or something, or some really spectacular scenery can really make my day when I'm looking for a cache.
  5. Just my two cents, I use a Venture HC and it serves all my needs quite well.
  6. I pass them on, but sometimes it takes a little while to figure out which cache I want to move them to, especially if the trackable has a specific goal.
  7. I usually go caching in cargo pants so I don't have to carry a swag bag or anything, then probably a t-shirt or a hoodie or something, depending on the weather.
  8. Well, around here a lot of the rivers flood in winter, which could make a good number of caches "unavailable" or prohibitively difficult to get to.
  9. Not quite an injury but an eventful day. So here's the breakdown: Got a flat tire this morning, no big deal, took to Les Schwab, they treated me right and I bought a used one, along with a couple other used ones since it's about time to get them all replaced anyways. Went hiking in the rain with a couple of friends, that was really cool, managed to get into a beautiful old growth forest and spent a little time there, then hike back to my car in the rain again, not the worst thing ever, but my pants weighed like ten pounds with all the water in them. Get to the car, start driving back and THE SAME TIRE goes flat on the road again. So I changed it and got back into the car, now I'm even more wet because I wasn't wearing my jacket since the car was warm. Back to Les Schwab an hour before they closed up, and they took away the two front tires and gave me two brand new ones for free. Awesome. I guess more than anything else my usual sense of calm was injured when the tire went out the second time. Got to see spotted owls though, that was fantastic.
  10. At least he isn't out actually finding these and stealing bugs or coins or anything
  11. Is it considered bad form to release a TB into someone else's cache? Say for example that I have a little TB fellow who I want to get the Everest Base Camp cache, should he start in a cache of mine or can I just activate him and drop him in whatever cache is closest?
  12. Before I started caching on my own (my uncle got me started back in the day, just coming back to it recently) I always put little plastic snakes in the caches we found. Today I only got one that wasn't a micro, i took a little plastic whale toy out of it and left a Spanish paratrooper military patch in it's place. So you know, basically anything fun and/or interesting.
