Gee...I always log my DNFs as I thought that it would be helpful for a cache that is missing or has been moved. It does bother my perfectionist ego, but whatever!

I had wooden nickels printed with an outline of the state of Ohio and my geocaching name across the middle. So far, they seem to be a good size for most non-micro caches.

Does it belong with a tent? Somehow I remember our tent having something like this where the stakes are??

I am getting ready to set out my first cache, but am concerned about the "surroundings". I own the riverfront property on which the cache will be placed, and currently have "No Trespassing" signs on trees to keep out the canoe folks who like to stop and camp out for the day. In my cache description, I certainly want to make the seekers aware of the signs, and to understand that cachers are welcome on the property. Is it likely that I won't get the cache approved due to the signs already posted?

In our district, school principals work on snow days. I should have taken up geocaching when I was teaching!

Thanks everyone for helping me locate the virtual cache searches and to better understand how to navigate through the forums. I guess I am new to lots of things! Let's just hope for a mild winter...and not too many days of "School is closed due to snow"!!

I am new to geocaching, but wonder if there is a way to search for virtual caches only. I am thinking that winter in Ohio will make it difficult to find "regular" caches, and the virtual ones might make the cold months go by quicker. -principal
