  1. Have you gone to Palm's websiteand downloaded the latest desktop version, I had to do that when I got a new computer running Vista Looking at the Palm web site .. they state that they do not support dual processors , which I have on the new PC ... any ideas? thanks!
  2. Have a new PC .. tried to load the Palm program so I can use my PDA and GSAK. Comes back that Palm for the Tungsten E2 is not compatible with Vista IF you have dual processors, What ??? High end machine and it won't work ??? Anyone found a work around on this? Thanks! GeoGordie
  3. OK ... OK ... Ya would think I would know how to do this by now ... but ..... Old age, bald head, did I mention Old Age. Who can give me a step by step list of "Here's How" to do this? Pick the caches off of MY ACCOUNT list of caches I have not found that I would like to work. Make these selected caches into a PQ .. rename it (I think) That way when I move the PQ I get by e-mail to my desk top, I can drop this file into GSAK so I can ask for the named file and ONLY the caches I wanted to work will pull up. Then I can download to my Garmin and PDA in one file for each rather than doing each cache one at a time. Does my question make sense ? Thanks! GeoGordie
  4. How do I RESET the Mark feature back to 000 so the next waypoint I log shows 001 ? Seem to have lost the "book" and cannot remember how to do that ..... Thanks in advance ! GeoGordie
  5. Count me in for ONE .... Thanks! GeoGordie
  6. The category I manage is the North Carolina Historical Marker group ... markers ONLY in North Carolina, no other state. The link you gave is for the Arizona group .. I have NO control over that one ... ?????
  7. I have had this "monkey" on my back for the life of North Carolina Historical Markers group. Granted, all the state approved and state issued markers are doing VERY WELL in this group .. but what about "this" marker ???? Sound familiar ? In North Carolina, as well in other states, I know there a blue ton of "History Markers" that have been erected along our streets and highways that depict and inform us of "something" of historical note for this area / spot / locality .. whatever. Yes, it "fits" in with Historical Markers ... but, it does NOT meet the absolute requirements of what is decreed by the state of North Carolina for the OFFICIAL marker program. Would it be possible to set up a sister group of Markers that these could be listed and noted? Name possibility ? North Carolina Area HISTORY Markers ... this would separate it from the Historical Marker group. Of course, it would need similar and other guidelines as the parent group ..... I have an open question in another discussion section about the possibility of using a drop down box or a sub-category listing of some sort for the current group ... no replies yet. Your thoughts please ... THANKS in advance. GeoGordie
  8. Trying to add either a sub category or drop down box option to use in the NC Historical Marker group. Granted, there are a LOT of standard issued NC markers with State designator numbers at the top of the marker. BUT .. there are also a LARGE amount of other historical markers along our streets and highways that indicate historical facts for that area or an event. These do not have the designator numbers and are set up by local historical groups. I would like to include these in the marker group, just in a different section .... HOW ?? Thanks ... GeoGordie
  9. Man! I GOTTA get in on this one ... Can't wait to get going on this group. Ball Park right here in my home town! GeoGordie

Asking for help on adding more whistles and bells to the page ... THANKS! GeoGordie

  13. OK .. belong to a few groups in Waymarking now. I would like to add the [send Message] link/button off to the right of my member name in the groups I belong to .... Where / how do you get this added to the group member section you are a member of? Thanks! OLD GeoGordie in Greensboro
  14. Man, this is getting really nice ! Love the new look ! Question though ... where has the Highway Historical Markers moved to ? I don't see it listed on the home page now. GeoGordie
  15. I would like to propose a category for GOLD MINES. This would be Gold Mines that are OPEN to the PUBLIC on a Fee or Free basis ... NO old Abandoned mines where safety would be an issue ... I know of at least three in North Carolina that would qualify.. maybe, more. Some even have it set up where you buy a bucket of dirt and "pan it out" while on site. Thanks for the consideration. 16. Let's bring out the Brass Band and get this Idea up and running !! GREAT IDEA !! Glad you brought this one up ... can't wait to get going on this !!!!! THANKS! GeoGordie .. Greensboro, NC
  17. Question ... Things / vehichles / XXXXXXXXXXXX. Posted to the Waypoint catergory a listing with coords and photos. Has been over 4 days since I posted my entry, have also sent catergory "owner" an e-mail .. no response. Now what ? Thanks! GeoGordie in Greensboro, NC
  18. Greetings to all, If this topic has been addressed before, I didn't see it listed and just plain got curious. Is it possible to down load those niffty Google maps that come up from the cache web page showing the genaeral location? If I could do the basic map from each cache onto the PDA .. that would be so useful. Any thoughts ? Oh yeah, using the Palm Zire 31 with exp. card. First attempts at paperless caching GeoGordie in Greensboro, NC
  19. I would like to start up a section listing North Carolina Historic Markers that are found along highways and city streets. This would be along the same lines that are used in, as an example, Georgia Historic Markers Waypoints Thanks! GeoGordie
  20. Well, IMHO ... you just can't get a better response than what "The Man" said ... Get it working ... then ... then, you add the bells and whistles with a dash of chrome. Thanks for all that you have done so far and all your plans that you have "on the burner". Ya just gotta LOVE this sport / hobby ! GeoGordie in Greensboro, NC .... with plans for Waypoints !!
  21. OK... a fellow worker made mention of the Waypoints sites, etc. He posed a question that I thought I would look for the answer on the Forums. So far .. no luck. Question ... Is there / will there be / still in the works an Icon for your Stats page to show that you worked / established a "WAYPOINT" ? Thanks for any and all input .... GeoGordie
  22. Is any one using a Google Map tool with GSAK ? If so, how do you bring it on-line with the GSAK program? I know there is a Map tool in the tool bar at the top .. uses MapQuest to bring up maps ... great .. but I find the Google version of maps a lot better for my use. If Clyde is out there reading this post ... YOU THE MAN! I love the program and ALL the neat features you have given the GeoWorld access to log and track this great hobby ! GeoGordie
  23. Has anyone thought about using Google Maps with GSAK instead of MapQuest in the tool bar? From what I have seen and used, Google Map .. it is far better than MapQuest (IMHO) Wonder if Clyde would add that feature to his AWESOME program of geocache tracking and logging? Best regards, GeoGordie in Greeensboro
  24. OK ... how do you get this to work? Got the new Google earth map thingy on the desktop .. KLM files ??? Not sure where to look for that ... and / or NOW WHAT ?? Old and mostly clueless .. anyone got this new fangled thing up and runing? GeoGordie
