  1. I also have a little question Is it considered a bit bad form to discover a TB then put it in one of your own Caches ?
  2. Hi and Welcome to the wonderful world of Geocaching Im also fairly new and Im using my Nokia E70 with Smart GPX and the standard Nokia navigation program thingy to find Caches at the moment. It serves its purpose until I can afford an Etrex but I definatly want an Etrex soon. The application on the Iphone looks pretty good though.
  3. I would definatly reccomend it. Its made it so much easier for me cause now Im a premium member I can download GPX files and go paperless caching with my Nokia E70 Also you can make routes. For example if your going somewhere specific you can make a route to see what caches are along the route to get to your destination (Not sure I explained that very well ).
  4. Been searching for hours for this one and I cant see it anywhere is it possible to have a clue or is it too early ?
  5. Theres a little boy on a tractor in my road with a face like this ---> CLICKY
  6. Try camoflauging your Cache, for example if your hiding it near some stones cover it with Grey Duct Tape (TheShuttleWeeds)
  7. I hate Micros because they are always so much more difficult to find (TheShuttleWeeds)
  8. If your off to hunt for a lot of Caches in one day then take a notepad with you to make notes about each cache when you find it, that way when you get back home and log your visit on the website you wont get them mixed up (s***tleWeeds)
  9. Thanks for help Butano. Ive kinda given up on Geocaching Live. I have found Smart GPX in combination with the built in Navigation Software in my Nokia is far more simple and having tried it out a couple of days ago it seems to be fairly accurate Why do they have to make these applications so dam complicated in the first place
  10. I always go Camping in Barnmouth, North Wales. Theres some great camp sites there and a truely beautiful place to explore. Theres even a small fun fair for the kids (I say small cause its only 2 or 3 rides so wont break the bank). I havent been there since I have become a Geocacher but I looked on the map and there seems to be a few in that area that are child friendly. Hope you have a good time where ever you decide to go
  11. Wouldnt it be more polite to just say TFTC and then send a private note to the owner and suggest ways to make the cache better ? Thats what I would do I found this quote on the Geocaching University Website which I thought was nice : "A writer should concern himself with whatever absorbs his fancy, stirs his heart, and unlimbers his typewriter.... A writer has the duty to be good, not lousy; true, not false; lively, not dull; accurate, not full of error. He should tend to lift people up, not lower them down." E.B. White
  12. I am still fairly new to Geo-caching but completly hooked. The problem is my husband usually has my Garmin sat-nav for his work so I am left to use only my Nokia E71 with built in GPS Now I dont think Im a complete noob when it comes to Mobile phones but the GPS thingy is very puzzling to me, so I downloaded the "Geocaching Live" application. Is it only me or does anyone else find this application extremely complicated ? I dont have a clue how to use it and Ive searched everywhere for a user guide but cant find. I would very much appreciate it if someone could help me figure it out. Also it keeps asking me to use a trial Premium membership but I have already brought a Premium membership so maybe theres a bug or something ? Also I would appreciate any other applications which are easy to use on my nokia. Thanks in advance for any help you can give me
  13. I never even considered this before But thankfully I have the nosiest neighbours in the world - nothing gets past them
  14. I think maybe your not a Newbie anymore when you have hidden a cache yourself Im still a Newbie but sooooon
  15. Well My Husband, My Mum and I were on Holiday and my Hubby opened a door for us and said that common catchphrase "S**t before the shovel" and I dont know how but from that he started calling us his s***tleweeds and we started calling him s***tleboss (Yes I do have a strange family lol) I guess the name just stuck. I hope its not a name that offends anyone and maybe looking back now it is a little bit naughty so if I could change it I would choose MumnMe because its always me and my mum that go Geocaching The s***tleweeds name has a place in my heart though
