  1. I just picked one of the lower numbered caches in the series of over 65 caches over a span of about 45 miles of highway. The names go from TTP1 to TTP69
  2. I should have given a little more info. Here is one cache in a series along the major highway between Winnipeg, Manitoba and Portage la Prairie, Manitoba. GC44MD1.
  3. Caches placed at highway road signs with no place to park, only the shoulder of the highway. Are these good hides or would they be considered a little bit dangerous? To me it doesn't seem like a safe place to stop and search for a cache. What does anyone else think?
  4. I just sent a message to a logger asking where they discovered my Geocoin. I don't know where they got the # from as I have never released it, or posted a photo of it. No surprise, I got no reply. I had deleted the log entry and posted this message on the coin page. ========================== " SPOILER ALERT!!!All log entries will be deleted that don't show proof of contact.Seeing a photo is NOT discovering, and I find it truly sad that people would cheat in such a manor just to build up their counts. That is like seeing a photo of Wayne Gretzky and claiming you met him.I don't understand the thinking behind lying about such a menial thing as finding a Travel Bug or Geocoin when you didn't. Are you truly that pathetic that you need to cheat at a leisure activity?WOW ! ! ! " ============================= I went back to check the offender's acct and they have deleted all their discoveries, no longer accept messages, and the acct is locked.
  5. Some of this sounds like degrees of bugnapping for the ransom of building up the takers stats. Annoying ... yes, but not just for the owner but also for the other perspective cachers who enjoy finding that extra bonus after searching out a cache. It seems a little disrespectful to all the other cachers for someone to keep a bug for an extended period with little or no regard for the mission of the traveller.
  6. I liked the Souvenirs. They are a nice little extra feature for the enjoyment of our hobby. But now after the upgrade they have vanished. I hope they can be brought back.
  7. Well, to offer up my experience, I had a cacher retrieve a bug from a cache logging grabbed from me before I had a reasonable chance to log my dropping the bug. Still having the bug # I grabbed it back and then logged it into the cache I had placed it in and promptly sent him an email telling him what I had done and why. I also told him , politely, that he would have to relog his grabbing the bug. He understood and all was right with the bug. And that's my tale.
